Giving yourself permission to find deep rest in the season of your life is not only important for you but also for your baby.
Wherever you find yourself,
Gently let the eyes close down.
Taking a few deep breaths in and out through the nose.
Feeling the belly expand on the inhale.
Let the exhale soften your body.
Breathing deeply.
Just becoming aware of any sensations in your body.
This time of pregnancy can be joyous,
Uneasy,
Uncomfortable sometimes,
Ecstatic.
You may feel like you're riding endless waves of emotions and physical sensations.
But for right now just allowing whatever is present to be present.
As you prepare not only your body but also your mind and your spirit for birth.
You can offer yourself words of encouragement,
Positive affirmations that guide you through your pregnancy,
Through your birth and beyond.
There may be days where it all feels overwhelming.
And there may be days where you feel like you can take it all on and tackle the world.
Wherever you are today,
Give yourself permission to just be here.
But also recognize that you are a powerful woman,
Already a mother.
And you can do it all.
As you continue to breathe deeply in and out.
Each breath softening just a little more.
I invite you to repeat the following affirmations.
Either whispering them or just repeating them in your mind.
All the strength I need is within me.
I am calm and relaxed.
My birth experience will be positive.
I relax my mind and my body follows.
My baby is happy and healthy.
I take control of what I can and let go of the rest.
Breathing deeply.
Allowing your body to feel each breath as you settle deeper and deeper into a state of deep relaxation.
Now I invite you to place one or both hands on your belly,
Connecting with your baby.
Perhaps it's just a little bump right now.
Or maybe your belly is round and wiggly with the kicks of your baby.
Taking a moment here to feel this new life growing within you.
And once again offering yourself these words of affirmation.
