You Good morning,
And welcome to your alcohol-free day.
Find a comfortable seated position.
We're here to prepare for the day.
So sit comfortably,
But alert.
Gently close your eyes and allow yourself to arrive fully into this moment.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
Fully expanding the lungs.
And slowly release it out through the mouth,
Letting go of any tension or worry you're holding on to.
Another deep breath in,
Feeling fresh.
Nourishing air entering your body.
And slowly breathing out,
Releasing tension,
Judgment,
Or expectations.
One more deep breath in.
And exhale.
Settling deeper into a gentle and peaceful rhythm of breathing.
You As we begin this new day,
We're going to bring some extra energy into the body.
Take a gentle moment to notice your body.
Starting from your feet.
Together,
We're going to energize the body.
While also releasing tension in each body part by gently tensing it and then fully releasing the tension.
We'll do this together in a moment,
But to see what I mean,
Squeeze your right hand into a fist.
Hold the fist tense for a count of three.
Then slowly release the fist and tension.
Now feel the difference between the left and the right hand.
You Okay,
As we continue to breathe rhythmically and naturally,
We'll keep our mental focus on the body parts,
Not the breath.
Let's begin with the left foot.
Curl the toes in and tense the left foot,
Holding for a count of three,
And slowly release the tension.
Now the right foot.
Tense in.
And releasing.
Tense the left calf.
Hold and gently release.
Right cow?
And release.
Left thigh.
And release.
Right thigh.
And release.
Left buttock Release.
Right,
Butter?
Release.
The lower abdomen.
And release.
Tense the upper abdomen.
And release.
Tense the left chest.
And release.
Tensing the right chest.
You And release.
Tense the left hand.
Release.
Right hand.
Release.
Tense the left forearm.
You may have to move your hand to do this and release.
Tense the right forearm.
Release Left bicep Release.
Right bicep.
Release.
See if you can tense the left side of the neck only.
Tense in.
Release on the right side of the neck.
Release the front of the neck Release.
Tense the back of the neck.
Release.
Tense the entire neck.
And release.
Dance the face,
Scrunch it up.
And release.
Can you tense your scalp?
Pull the ears up,
Tensing the scalp.
And release.
Excellent.
Now notice your breath again and breathe for a few moments while feeling the new energy in your body.
Enjoy this feeling and breath.
Today is a fresh start,
An opportunity to live fully and clearly.
Let's set a powerful intention together for an alcohol-free day.
Repeat silently or softly after me.
Today I choose clarity.
Today,
I choose strength.
Today I choose health and well-being.
Today,
I choose to honor myself and my commitment.
Feel these intentions resonate deeply within your being.
Notice how empowering it feels to consciously choose the direction of your day.
Keep breathing.
See yourself clearly and vividly,
Strong and confident in your choice.
Visualize yourself engaging in your daily activities with clarity,
Energy,
And pride.
Notice how good it feels to be fully present,
Fully awake to life.
See yourself gently saying no to alcohol,
Calmly and confidently.
Notice the positive reactions of people around you,
Supportive and respectful of your choice.
Feel the appreciation and joy within you,
Knowing you're honoring your decision and yourself.
Let this feeling of strength and empowerment fill your entire body and mind as you breathe for a few moments.
Bring your awareness back now to this present moment.
Notice your breath again,
Calm,
Steady and clear.
Take a moment to silently express appreciation to yourself for making this courageous choice today.
Thank yourself for prioritizing your health,
Your happiness,
And your true potential.
Also,
Express appreciation for anything else in your life that supports your journey of sobriety.
A supportive friend.
A loved one,
A community,
Your inner strength.
Allow yourself to be proud of yourself,
To feel deeply grateful for this moment and for the fresh new day ahead.
You Remember,
You have everything you need within you to successfully navigate this alcohol-free day.
Silently affirm to yourself.
I am capable.
I am strong.
I am worthy of a healthy,
Clear,
And joyful life.
Carry these affirmations gently within your heart today,
Returning to them whenever you need strength or reassurance.
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Stretching gently,
And slowly opening your eyes when you're ready.
Know that you are not alone.
You are supported.
Encouraged,
And deeply capable.
Have a beautiful,
Clear,
And alcohol-free day ahead.
