It is a cool and rainy day.
You watch the rain as it drops,
Darkening tree branches,
Making puddles on the ground,
And sprinkling dots on your window.
It looks dreamy outside and you decide to go out.
You are barefoot.
Feel the cold wet.
Then a puddle,
Brr.
The mud is cold and smooshes between your toes.
You keep walking.
Ahead,
There is a row of thick bushes just beginning to bud.
It stretches far on both sides.
You want to see what is on the other side.
What could it be?
You look.
There,
You see a gap in the row near the ground.
You are on your knees,
Crawling.
You are surrounded by the dark,
Tangled branches of the bush.
The ground is cold and smooth.
It is quiet with just the scratching of the branches as you pass.
You crawl,
Hand knee,
Hand knee.
Then you see something bright.
You realize it is the sun.
You are on the other side of the bush.
The rain has stopped.
You crawl out of your cramped bush tunnel and stretch.
Thank you rain.
Thank you sun.
Thanks bushes and mud.
Thank all of those you remember.
And also,
Those you forget.
