Transcript

The time on and around the new moon offers a powerful opportunity for us.

It encourages us to align with a clear vision of our path,

To set intentions and to step forwards to create positive new beginnings.

This guided meditation will assist you in leveraging the powerful new moon energy.

So to begin let's find a comfortable seat.

Maybe sat cross legged with your back tall,

Your heart space open.

Or perhaps you would be more comfortable lying on the floor in Savasana,

Allowing the feeling of feet to drop out to the sides,

Palms facing up.

And once you're comfortable close your eyes and begin to draw your attention to the breath.

Inhaling deeply,

Filling the belly,

The chest,

Allowing the ribs to expand.

And then exhale and surrender down,

Releasing and beginning to let go.

Now allow that breath to settle back to its natural rhythm without altering it and simply observing.

Releasing any ideas about how things should be and simply resting in awareness with the breath.

Feel yourself beginning to let go of thoughts,

Worries and tensions.

Enjoying the day to drift away,

Simply breathing and being.

And knowing that at this moment you're surrounded with white light,

Protected and uplifted.

And that you are ever supported in moving forwards in the direction of your dreams,

In manifesting the intentions within your heart.

And so for now,

Relax,

Breathe and let go.

And now take that awareness towards your heart.

Notice your heart chakra,

That swirling energetic centre,

Beautiful green light.

And imagine within that heart centre,

A door.

You walk up to the door,

Open it and take a step inside,

Going inwards towards your own personal space.

And you stand there in peace and calm,

Observing what your heart contains.

Withholding all judgement.

Now while resting within that inner space,

Take your attention wider.

Bring your attention up towards the crown of the head.

Begin to scan through your body,

Making note of any tension you're holding.

Focus now on your eyes,

Your mouth,

Your jaw,

Allowing all facial features to soften.

Focus on your neck and your shoulders,

Allowing the shoulders to drop down towards the mat,

Towards the floor and mama earth.

Relaxing your arms,

Your hands and your fingers.

Relax your chest.

Allow the belly to relax with each exhale.

Relax the upper back and lower back.

Relaxing the whole of the torso.

Relax your hips,

Thighs,

Knees,

Calves,

Ankles,

Feet,

All the way to the tips of the toes.

Always inhaling that beautiful,

Protective white light.

Exhaling,

Releasing tensions,

Worries and fears.

Being in awareness of your beautifully relaxed body.

Now begin to imagine that you're sitting outside in a safe place,

Perhaps in a clearing in a forest.

Maybe you're sat on the beach,

Listening to the sound of the waves.

From wherever you're sat,

You can see a full view of the night sky.

Take some time to notice your surroundings,

The darkness of night around you.

But you're still able to sense and feel.

And you intuitively know that you are protected and that your guides are with you now.

From your seat,

You're looking up at the night sky now and noticing the millions of stars twinkling amidst the dark night sky.

And there are more stars there than you've ever seen before.

More than you can count.

Illuminating the space.

You begin to notice constellations within the stars.

Noticing patterns and shapes.

Notice the brightest star.

What does it look like?

Does it have a colour?

Is it part of any particular constellation?

Imagine that the light of the star,

That bright star,

Is still able to be seen clearly and brightly amidst all the others due to the new moon.

The light of this bright star in the night sky under the new moon shines down upon you,

Sat still,

Resting in awareness,

Safe in this space.

Imagine the light from this star now pouring into your body through your spiritual form,

Connecting you to the divine.

Cleansing and uplifting you.

Cleansing you full of hopeful new energy.

You sit in stillness receiving this beautiful light,

This gift from the night sky,

All the while watching the stars twinkle up above you.

And as you're viewing the stars,

You suddenly notice a streak across the sky.

A shooting star falling across the horizon.

And as you do,

Take that attention back to your heart's space and wish for your heart's desire.

Make awareness to the intentions you want to set at the beginning of this new lunar cycle.

Using that beautiful energy to help guide,

To help create new beginnings.

Take the time to set that intention with the knowledge that it is the truth.

That your belief in that intention will be recognised by the universe,

By the divine.

The shooting star illuminates your vision,

Taking with it your intention and then disappears back into the dark night.

You continue to sit,

Breathing deeply,

Basking in the light of the stars.

You look up at the night sky once more and experience the magnificence of your being.

Feeling the immense love present in this moment.

Your love for Mama Earth,

For Father Sky.

Knowing you are connected to the divine and through the divine connected to each and every person,

Every living thing on Mama Earth.

And knowing that that love you are feeling is always returned.

For you are a child of the earth and the earth will always respond with support and love and safety.

Giving you the courage to step forwards to a new beginning.

Empowering you to create your dream.

This love uplifts you.

It unites you.

It heals.

Take your next step with trust.

Knowing that the next step will always follow.

Knowing that at any time you can call on this divine energy,

On the love and support of Mama Earth,

Always protecting and uplifting you wherever your journey leads.

Rest in awareness.

Rest in love.

Now beginning to bring awareness back to the physical body.

Using small movements to fingers and toes.

Deepening the breath.

Grounding down towards the earth.

Knowing all the points where the body rests upon your seat or your mat.

Using your senses to come all the way back.

Taking a deep breath in wherever you're sat.

Inhale the arms up above the body.

Enjoy a full body stretch.

Exhale and release the hands back down towards your side.

And just rest in awareness for a moment.

And open your eyes.

Namaste.
