I am a lover of philosophy and this passion has brought some wonderful and powerful insights into my life as a wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, Friend, Leader, Human being. One such gift is the Latin saying, Veni, Vidi, Amavi, Which translates in English to I came, I saw, I loved. I came to be here and now, This place and this time. I came. I saw beauty and pain, Joy and sorrow. I saw. I loved all of it, Myself, Others, All beings, All experiences, All of everything unconditionally. I loved. Each time I feel challenged, Lost, Powerless, Alone. When I question my purpose, Every time before I teach or lead, I meditate on this profound truth. Veni, Vidi, Amavi. I came. I saw. I loved. Join me. Find a comfortable position. Close your eyes if you can. Relax your body. Take a deep belly breath. And silently repeat after me. Veni, Vidi, Amavi. Veni, Vidi, Amavi. Veni, Vidi, Amavi. May this powerful truth act as a compass to navigate you home and bring you the same peace and comfort it brings to me.
