Good morning,
Dear one.
This is your wake up meditation.
Let's take a moment to move from our sleep and dream state slowly into our awake state.
And while you're still lying down under your duvet or your blankets,
I'm going to invite you to take a few stretches.
Bring your hands over your head.
Point your toes and make yourself tall.
And move into some banana shapes.
While you inhale and exhale,
Letting out some deep sighs,
Moving that stagnant night air out of your lungs.
If you want to hum to slowly warm up your voice and your throat,
That will be very welcome.
Feel how good it feels that you're still in your bed.
You get to do this as a start of your day.
And then I'll ask you to move up and come to me.
Take a deep breath into a seated posture.
But do it in your own pace.
Make it so pleasurable for yourself.
Help your body to be comfortable.
Your hips and your spine haven't moved much.
So they can probably use your help in slowly waking up.
So be gentle and use your pillow to sit nicely.
Maybe you want to rest against the back of your bed or against the wall.
And then on your next inhale,
I'm going to ask you to stretch your arms again up over your head.
Make yourself tall again.
And then on the exhale,
Slowly let your hands land in your lap.
Let them rest.
You don't need them yet.
And take a second to feel the magic of this moment.
So many things had to go right for you to be here right now.
Do you feel that?
How sacred your existence is?
You can surrender into that deep knowing that everything will work out for you.
Otherwise,
You wouldn't be here on this planet.
So let it all work out for you and surrender.
Take that in.
That's your magic.
Now bring your hands in front of your face so you can look at the palms of your hands.
Look at those hands.
They connect you to the energy of giving and receiving because that's what you do with your hands.
Appreciate what they do for you and for others in this world.
Now breathe in again and then let your hands run over your face.
Massage your forehead,
The sides of your face,
Your jaws.
And notice how that feels.
Maybe you've been clenching during the night and there's some stiffness and they want a bit of a firmer rub.
And give your body what it asks for.
The type of touch or massage that feels good.
And bring your hands down to your neck,
Your shoulders,
And rub your skin there.
And with every exhale,
You can let go of a little bit of the tension that you might have been building up during the night.
Unconsciously,
You've traveled to places you might not even remember.
Even though the body was resting,
You were very active.
So allow yourself to let go of that experience of the night and coming into this present moment.
Moment right here in the morning,
In the now.
And then take a moment to tune into how you're feeling.
What is alive for you in the body?
Firstly,
Physically,
What is there right now?
Is there more tension in other places?
Is there some tiredness left?
Or do you already feel the adrenaline of the day that is coming?
And then ask yourself,
What do you want for yourself today?
What do you want to receive?
What do you want to create for yourself?
Today,
I want to trust in my capacity to do good things for me.
Or today,
I will listen to my body when she needs me.
Today,
I will relax when I want to.
And today,
I will do at least one thing that I enjoy.
One thing that nurtures my soul.
And today,
This is my favorite.
I will bring my soft heart to this world and I will let life touch me.
Now state anything else you would like for yourself today.
And say it out loud if you can.
Make sure that the universe can hear you.
You are the most important person in your life.
What do you want for yourself today?
Now place your hands on your heart or bring them in front of your heart in a prayer pose.
Feel that gratitude for all that you are.
Feel the gratitude of another new day,
A clean slate that you can paint on whatever you want.
Now bow your head to your heart.
Thank your body for being able to sleep and wake.
And thank yourself for starting your day like this.
