Welcome to a pause and reground short meditation.
Start by sitting on a chair with your feet on the floor and closing your eyes.
Take a deep inhale and slowly exhale through your mouth.
Do this two more times.
Deep inhale,
Long exhale.
Deep inhale,
Long exhale.
After the third exhale,
Close your lips and allow the breath to come in and out of your nostrils.
This is going to be a slightly deeper breath than your usual breath.
Keep focused on it for a few moments.
The inhale and the exhale.
And the exhale.
Deep inhales and long exhales.
Now take your awareness to where your feet meet the ground.
Notice the contact between your feet and the ground.
Keep your awareness here and keep breathing.
Keep breathing.
Awareness of the contact between your feet and the ground and awareness of your breath.
Now take a much deeper inhale and exhale out of your mouth again.
And once more,
Inhale through your nostrils and exhale out of your mouth.
Blink your eyes open,
Staying still just where you are right now.
Take in your surroundings.
Now prepare to move on with your day.
