As we start this meditation,
Let's take a moment to notice how you feel in your body right now.
Do you need to stretch or shift to a different position or grab a blanket?
Do whatever your body needs to feel comfortable for this meditation and start to tune in to your breath.
What sensations do you feel as you breathe?
You may notice the feeling of the air going in your nostrils.
Maybe the air is cool as it goes in your nostrils and warm as you exhale.
And notice the feeling of your breath on the back of your throat as you inhale.
Feel your belly rise as you breathe in and fall as you breathe out.
And notice the texture of your breath.
How soft is your breath?
And make it softer.
Make your breath as soft and silky smooth as you can.
And now imagine your favorite color.
Choose a color that has qualities that you absolutely love.
And now breathe in this color.
Imagine the color going in your nose,
Filling your whole head,
And going down the back of your throat into your lungs.
And the color fills your lungs and your whole torso.
And bring the color down your arms,
Into your hands,
Into each finger one at a time.
And let the color continue to fill your body,
Into your abdomen,
Into your hips and pelvis,
Down your legs and your lower legs and ankles.
And then let the color expand into your feet.
And now your whole body is filled with this beautiful,
Amazing color.
And let this color continue to expand as you breathe in.
Let the color expand a couple of inches off your body with each inhale.
And now your whole body is wrapped in this beautiful,
Glowing color.
And enjoy this feeling.
Your whole body full of this color.
And think of a word to describe this color.
Maybe it's beauty,
Or joy,
Or love.
And let this quality fill your body as well.
And hear this word as you inhale.
With each breath,
Let's take another couple moments to enjoy this color radiating through your whole body.
Without opening your eyes,
Begin to notice your surroundings.
Any sounds you might hear,
The temperature of the air on your skin,
The light or darkness behind your closed eyelids.
And you may want to have a stretch or a yawn as you transition back to your day.
And I hope you have a wonderful day.
