Begin this meditation by noticing the space around your heart opening to that area,
Breathing into that area,
Breathing out from that area.
Thinking of your heart as opening,
Being free,
And your heart and your body,
Your mind,
Your spirit,
Inviting in light,
Brightness,
A warmth,
Breathing with the pulse of the light,
Feeling the light and the love and the warmth washing over you.
As you let the light in,
You radiate the light outward,
And this exchange with light helps you open and be accepting,
To feel gratitude,
To feel weight lifting from you.
The light is able to pierce areas that seem dark or impenetrable or painful.
So just breathing with this light and imagining it covering you,
Encircling you,
Blending and melting in with your body and spirit and heart and mind.
As it creates this warmth and this glow,
You may consider compassionate and self-compassionate statements that bring a sense of healing with the light.
So take a few moments just to consider offering yourself and others words and images and phrases that bring about warmth and light and compassion.
Take a few moments,
See where you feel this light penetrates your body,
Your being.
See if you feel the light emanating from certain areas of your body,
Bringing peace and openness.
You may open your hands and with your palms facing up towards the sky,
Hold the light or offer the light,
Maybe feeling it flowing into your hands,
Into your body.
And this light may come from far away,
It may come from areas near or people that you know or have known.
The light may represent wisdom or a sense of nurturing.
Just tuning into this warmth,
This peace,
This contentment,
Breathing with it and envisioning it surrounding you,
Enveloping you.
See if your heart space has opened,
If it's become lighter,
If your shoulders have become lighter.
Discover the dimensions of the light,
Colors,
The shades,
Shapes,
Speed at which the light travels,
Considering what the light may represent.
If it feels like love,
Care,
Connection,
Passion,
Allow the light to be there,
That warmth to exist within you and without you.
Even if it may mix and mingle with darker,
More threatening elements,
Just seeing and feeling the power of this light.
It's made of,
It's dimensions,
Meaning.
When you hear the sound of the bell,
You may gently open your eyes.
