
Shamanic Elephant Meditation

Within this Guided Shamanic Meditation, you will connect with the Spirit Animal of the Elephant. The Spirit Animal of the Elephant calls you to balance the Masculine and Feminine aspects within you. Elephants are sensitive souls and are known to be some of the most compassionate in the animal kingdom. They walk with grace and ease, and as heart centerer beings they can sense the emotions of others from miles away.

Welcome to this Insight Timer guided meditation.
Within this meditation I'm going to guide you on a shamanic journey of connecting with the spirit animal of the elephant.
Before doing so let me share with you some of the gifts and medicine that come through from the spirit animal of the elephant.
Now the spirit animal of the elephant calls you to balance the masculine and feminine aspects within you.
Elephants are sensitive souls and are known to be some of the most compassionate in the animal kingdom.
They walk with grace and ease and as heart-centered beings they can sense the emotions of others from miles away.
Though they have a strong sense of empathy they are also incredibly strong.
If you are connecting with the spirit animal of the elephant it is calling you to embrace your sensitive nature and the strength of your character in order to bring your masculine and feminine into union.
Allow your intuition to guide you through the challenges in your life.
Now let's begin this guided shamanic journey to connect with the spirit animal of the elephant.
I'd like you to begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
One more time,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Now I'd like for you to disconnect from your mind during this guided journey as you allow yourself to reconnect with your soul and what is guiding you from within.
Now let's continue with relaxing each and every muscle and fibre in your body.
Starting with the top of your head and relaxing all the way down to the tips of your toes.
That's right.
Begin by relaxing your face as you relax your cheeks and your neck as you sit there or lay down and relax finding yourself in a place of comfort and ease.
Bring that relaxation down now through to your shoulders as you take that deep inward breath.
Raise your shoulders and with that out breath allow your shoulders to fall by the wayside so that you can completely and easily relax those shoulders.
Bringing that relaxation further down and deeper down now through your torso.
Relaxing your arms,
Bringing that relaxation further down and deeper down now through to your stomach.
Relaxing your stomach and feeling more comfortable there now.
Finally bringing that relaxation further down all the way through to your legs as you relax your legs.
Down through to your knees and all the way down to the tips of your toes.
I think you can relax each and every fibre of your being.
You may begin to notice an aura that surrounds you in this moment.
It's also assisting you on this journey of relaxation.
You may want to bring a colour to that aura.
Maybe a deep purple or a blue or even another colour that assists you in relaxing.
Now let me guide you on this shamanic journey and I'd like for you to connect with the shamanic drum as you connect with the heartbeat of your soul.
Allow yourself to come into rhythm with the drum as you connect with your own heartbeat and as I've mentioned the heartbeat of your soul.
Allow yourself to connect with it.
Flow in rhythm as you bring your mind,
Body and soul into alignment.
Slowly and steadily connect.
Then what I'd like for you to do is imagine walking across the open plains in Africa.
The sun is shining and you can feel the warmth on your face.
You can feel the earth beneath your feet and maybe even the wind in your hair.
As you connect with this,
Allow yourself to connect with Mother Nature and your surroundings.
Notice the beautiful and majestic scenery that surrounds you.
Notice the trees that lay still there in nature.
Notice the blue skies and possibly the red sand.
What I'd like for you to do is allow yourself to walk bare feet on Mother Earth.
Feel the nurture and support from Mother Earth,
Providing you with unconditional love to assist you on your journey.
I'd like you to notice the qualities of the spirit animal,
Of the elephant.
As you begin noticing the masculine aspects within you of strength and courage and also the feminine aspects of sensitivity,
Compassion.
Notice how these can come into alignment throughout this journey as you walk your path.
As you walk across these open plains,
I'd like you to feel beneath your feet.
Notice the sensitivity as you begin to sense animals in this distance.
Almost sense them from miles and miles away as your sensitivity increases.
Allow this to guide you as you walk across these open plains.
You may begin a silhouette of elephants in the distance as you're being called to connect with the spirit animal of the elephant.
Walk across these open plains and feel the sensitivity within your soul.
You may begin to notice that the elephants have slowly stopped as you begin slowly walking closer and closer to the elephants.
Feeling more connected to each and every one of them.
But allow yourself to keep a distance and hold your strength.
For as you begin to do so,
The elephants begin to connect with you and your soul.
And they begin to invite you into the pack,
Almost as if you are at one with the elephants.
Slowly approach the herd and connect with each and every elephant.
Notice the one elephant that stands out for you.
As you look at this beautiful majestic creature,
You notice its beautiful tusks.
You notice its incredible ears and the strength in its legs.
Allow yourself to connect with the soul of the elephant as you look into its eyes.
As you look into one another's eyes,
Allow yourself to truly connect with it at this moment.
As you connect with it,
Notice how you can begin floating into the body of the elephant as you completely become at one with it.
As you do so,
Feel into the body of the elephant and allow yourself to feel the earth beneath your feet,
Again more so with these big feet which the elephants hold.
As these big feet touch the earth,
Your sensitivity may begin to increase as you begin to sense the emotions of others from miles and miles away.
We have this deep sense of compassion and empathy that you have to allow yourself to connect with in these moments.
Feel the compassion of the elephant as you connect with the other elephants in your tribe.
Feel the love and compassion that flows through you.
Notice the heart-centred being that is within the soul of your being.
Connect with that compassion and allow yourself to walk with grace and ease as you walk across these open plains.
When you begin walking across these open plains,
You notice a large tree that has fallen before you,
That is blocking your path.
The only way in order for you to move past this tree is for you to move it out your way.
So as you begin to do this,
I want you to notice that strength that comes from within you.
As you pick up this tree with all your might,
And you move it to the side,
Notice that strength and courage that comes from within you from the spirit animal of the elephant.
The strength in your legs,
As well as the strength within your body,
But also notice that compassion that resides within you.
As you begin to balance these masculine and feminine aspects within you,
Feel that courage and strength of that masculine energy as you choose to walk your path with courage.
Allow that feminine to come through for you and guide and assist you to bring you that sense of love and compassion and empathy towards others.
The masculine and feminine can slowly come into union as you use your intuition to guide you,
For this is beginning to shape your character as you bring into union the masculine and feminine within to guide you through the challenges of your life.
Guide you back out of this shamanic journey as you connect with your self once more and you bring the qualities and medicine from the elephant with you.
So I'd like you to stop for a moment in the body of the elephant and as you do so,
Allow yourself to float outside of the body of the elephant once more as you float back into your soul,
Bringing with you that courage and strength from that masculine energy of the elephant.
Allow yourself to notice the femininity within you,
That beautiful sensitivity,
Compassion and love that you have towards others.
Allow yourself to draw on that strength and courage as well as that empathic nature within you.
And when you're ready,
Allow yourself to come back to now,
Bringing with you all of those qualities from the spirit animal of the elephant.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth and come back to now.
