Good morning,
Let us begin by finding a comfortable position.
You can choose to sit or lie down.
Whichever you choose,
Make sure you are completely comfortable.
And if you feel comfortable doing so,
Close your eyes.
Begin taking deep,
Full breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
As you inhale,
Notice yourself expanding.
And as you exhale,
Release any tension and any weight.
Now with your mouth closed,
Continue to breathe,
Allowing the air to go deeper and fill your lungs more and more with each breath.
As you continue to breathe,
Observe your points of connection with the ground.
Notice how the ground supports you.
And allow yourself to sink into this,
To be fully supported by the earth.
Take a few moments to observe.
Notice the sounds around you.
Feel the air circulating around you and the ground beneath you.
Do you smell anything?
And can you feel your breath?
Is there a rise and fall to it?
Continue to follow that breath.
And if you notice your mind wandering,
Just bring yourself back to the rise and fall with each breath.
If at any point you notice your mind wandering,
This is normal.
This is okay.
Just bring your attention back to your breath and notice the sounds and sensations around you.
And now take a moment to recognize the time you took to start your day with a meditation.
Sometimes our lives seem to move too quickly,
But perhaps it's the case that slowing down can help us find our way faster.
Grant yourself the permission to take the time that you need today.
In a few moments,
You will hear the sound of the singing bowl three times.
Let the sound bring you back to the space.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Notice the sounds around you.
And when you feel ready,
Begin to open your eyes.
