Hello.
In this meditation,
We explore what it means to let go.
We will begin by settling into the present moment.
Take a moment to make sure that you are seated in a comfortable position.
Take notice of where you are in contact with the ground or your seat.
Notice how your weight is being supported.
And can you relax into it?
Even just slightly more from the base of your seat.
Bring your torso,
Your shoulders,
Your neck and your head.
All into alignment.
Feel all of your joints supported stacked in alignment.
Stable,
Secure.
With the support of the ground.
Perhaps you find that you can sit a little taller.
If you haven't already.
Allow your eyelids to become heavy.
Let your eyes come to a gentle gaze or if you feel comfortable doing so Let them close.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Breathe in through your nose,
Allowing the air to fill your chest,
Ribs,
And belly.
And hold for a moment.
And exhale.
Sawing it out through your mouth.
Take another clearing breath.
Inhaling through the nose.
And sawing it out.
Through the mouth.
Now allow your lips to come to a gentle close and perhaps rest your tongue against the roof of your mouth.
Find a steady breath pattern in through the nose and out through the nose.
With your stable,
Supported seat,
Allow the energy within you to rise On an inhale,
Imagine pulling that breath upward from the ground through your core to reach your heart.
Allow your breath to fill your chest and hold Can you breathe in a little more?
Notice how much space there is in your chest.
And then let the breath go.
Continue with your breath.
Perhaps taking more time with each inhale and exhale.
Really stretching out the breath.
With each inhale,
Draw in courage to open your heart.
And with each exhale,
Use that space in your heart to find acceptance.
And surrender.
It may sometimes seem like it takes so much effort and perseverance to hold on.
But could there be strength and courage in letting go too?
What is it that you truly want to hold on to for now?
And what could you be releasing?
You are in control.
As you continue to breathe.
You find yourself.
On a calm beach.
It's a misty morning around dawn.
You are surrounded by hues of light purple,
Pink,
And blue.
The sand is soft beneath your feet.
There is a gentle breeze.
The temperature is perfect.
And serene.
The water is clear.
You hear the waves gently rolling onto the sand.
Sweeping in small pebbles and shells and then carrying some of them away.
Each wave.
Marking a new start.
And a new end.
Constant change.
Constant evolution.
You walk to the water's edge and feel the waves against you.
Your breath matches the rhythm of the waves.
The wave washes over you with each inhale.
And recedes with each exhale.
With each inhale,
Each wave carries in new energy,
New hope.
With each exhale,
Each wave carries away something you are ready to release an infinite cycle of beginnings and endings.
Of impermanence.
The longer you stay,
The lighter you start to feel of all you have chosen to release.
What could have been,
What used to be.
What isn't?
What shouldn't be anymore.
Each wave brings you a deeper sense of peace subtly.
Gently Gradually.
.
.
You can stay as long as you want.
But if you're ready to return.
We'll begin to make our journey back in a few moments.
Start to deepen your breath and let it awaken your body.
Perhaps wiggle your fingers and toes and take a few slow,
Gentle circles of your neck.
When you feel ready,
Start to blink your eyes back open.
As you come back.
Take a moment to notice and absorb.
May you feel lighter and find more peace.
Have a great day.
