Hello and welcome to this meditation.
My name is Emily and I'm glad to guide you as you start your day.
I'll invite you to find a comfortable position to start with.
Just take all the little wiggles that you need to really find comfort into the position of your choice.
Let your eyelids close,
Relax your shoulders down and away from your ears.
And simply tune into your breath.
Let it come with ease.
Let it flow in and out of you.
For the next few moments I give you the permission to simply look after yourself.
I invite you to hold space for yourself.
I love spending time outside and I especially love catching sunrise.
To get started with this meditation I invite you to imagine the sun rising over the lake.
I'm blessed to live in a small beach town and I get the privilege to often wake up and catch this sunrise.
Connecting to the elements is a really beautiful way to feel centered,
To be in the moment.
As you keep your breath steady I invite you to tune into the sounds of the waves.
Just this gentle back and forth.
I invite you to imagine that you are with me,
Catching the glory of the sun as it slowly peaks over the horizon.
These beautiful colors,
Some orange tones,
A little bit of pink and just the power of the sun slowly rising.
From your whole focus on this image in your head,
Feel the peace within you that comes along as you watch this beautiful sunrise.
As the sun rises a new opportunity begins.
An opportunity to be yourself.
An opportunity to show up in the world fully.
An opportunity to love and connect.
An opportunity to be present and to be at peace with your life as it is today.
As you imagine the sun lifting up I invite you to take a moment of gratitude for your life,
For your health,
For this new day.
Allow this feeling of gratitude to fill your entire body.
Perhaps from your heart center.
Allowing this deep sense of gratitude to flow towards your extremities,
To fill your thoughts,
To fill your whole being.
Feel your chest and your heart area opening up.
Maybe you even feel the outer corner of your mouth slightly lift in a soft smile and maybe even the outer corner of your eyes.
Stay connected to here.
This beautiful moment that you have with yourself.
This amazing scenery in your imagination.
You are connected to yourself.
You are connected to nature.
You are connected to the whole universe.
I invite you to bring slowly your right hand over your heart.
Simply to feel your own aliveness.
