In this insightful talk, I emphasize the importance of inner listening and trusting one's instincts rather than relying on external cues or waiting for others. They highlight that true listening transcends mere auditory perception, engaging all senses and connecting with the rhythm of life, much like a musician feels the beat. I draw parallels between waiting and sensing, comparing it to a surfer anticipating a wave or a gardener nurturing plants. This waiting is not a passive state but an active engagement with the present moment, akin to a chef knowing the perfect time to serve a dish. Ultimately, it's about recognizing the right timing and trusting the wisdom that resides within, transforming waiting into a gift rather than a burden.

It's not about listening to other people and the words that they say.

It's not about waiting for others to do what they say.

It's not about waiting for others to be ready.

It's about listening within.

Listening to the energy within and without.

It's about listening,

Not with the ears,

But with the skin,

The body,

The senses,

All of the senses.

It's not about waiting for others,

For the outside.

It's about waiting to feel the pulse.

Trusting the pulse,

Trusting the rhythm,

Like music,

Like singing in the band or feeling the beat of the drummer,

So that there can be harmony.

It's not about standing in a starting block and waiting for the gun to go off.

It's about feeling the rhythm,

The beat inside.

It's not waiting like a punishment or waiting like suppression or oppression.

It's about sensing,

Feeling,

Trusting,

Like a surfer waiting for a wave,

Like a gardener,

Nourishing the plants with water,

Watching and waiting nature and beauty unfolding.

It's not about waiting for love or waiting for connection,

Waiting for a lover.

It's about knowing the correct time and the correct place.

Listening for the wisdom deep in the well.

It's about trusting and knowing.

It's waiting like a chef,

Who knows just when it's done,

Not too soon,

Not too late.

There's a difference between undercooked and overcooked and just right from an external authority.

It's not a waiting for punishment.

It's not a waiting from external pressure,

Resisting,

Resisting,

Resisting,

Or an inner pressure resisting,

Resisting,

Resisting.

It's about feeling,

Sensing,

Inner and energy listening,

A waiting and a listening of the body,

Of the senses,

A knowing and a trusting.

This is the listening and the waiting.

A gift.
