Hello and welcome.
My name is Alisha Olivier-Park,
And today I'm going to guide you on a meditation through your hero's journey.
Let us begin by finding a quiet and comfortable space,
Choosing to either sit in a meditative posture,
The spine aligned and upright,
The shoulders rolled up,
Down,
And back with a soft and open heart and mind.
Or if it feels better to you,
You could gently recline,
Maybe propping your head with a pillow to stay a little bit more actively connected to the guided meditation.
Whatever you choose,
Whether it's seated or reclining,
Begin to fully arrive within your body,
Bringing your focused attention to your breath as it rises and falls with the natural rhythm of the in-breath and out-breath.
We will begin this meditative journey by you beginning to become aware of the ordinary world,
The ordinary and everyday world around you.
What is that environment for you?
What are the people,
Places,
Experiences of your ordinary world?
Let yourself consciously connect to the environment in which you spend most of your everyday life.
The ordinary world around you.
And now with these next few breaths,
Begin to feel a sensation within you.
Maybe a tingling,
Maybe an inspiration or a knowing that you are special,
That your life has meaning and purpose,
That you are a hero or a heroine in an epic adventure.
In a beautiful story.
As you breathe every in-breath,
Acknowledge that hero or heroine within you.
Let yourself be the center of this ordinary world that surrounds you.
Begin to feel the call to adventure.
Something is stirring and percolating within you.
You may have refused this call.
In the past when you have heard this call,
It might have felt frightening or scary,
Uncertain,
Unknown.
But today,
Instead of refusing the call,
You say yes.
A resounding yes to your call to adventure.
Feel what it feels like as you breathe and be within this body,
This beautiful soul that is at the center of a very purposeful story.
And as you're saying yes to your call today,
I will be by your side as a guide,
As a mentor,
As you journey through your hero's quest.
We will begin by crossing the threshold,
Moving from the ordinary world,
Coming into the path of initiation.
As we cross this threshold,
I invite you to have the courage and strength to pull from the depths that which you would like to face,
That which you would like to address,
That which you would like to face,
These trials,
These challenges that you have faced,
Maybe recently,
Maybe in your distant past,
Maybe time and time again.
Bring those challenges from the depths to the surface.
Let them be known.
What is difficult for you?
What has been hard?
What has hurt?
What is allowing for all of the challenge to have a space here?
And as you're in this space being honest about all that has tested you,
Has challenged you,
We bring it forward and offer it up to this journey.
I invite you to bring into this space,
Recalling the allies that you've had along this journey,
The helpers,
The characters in your story that have been there by your side thus far.
These allies,
These could be ancestors.
They could be people that you receive support from in the tangible world.
The seen and the unseen are welcome here.
Who are your allies,
Your helpers along this journey that help you to face your fears and fears,
Encouraging,
Inspiring you and giving you strength?
And now even allowing space for those that you might perceive as a threat or enemies,
Those who have challenged and even hurt you.
Who have these characters been,
Acknowledging them?
And now that you have clarity on the challenges that you face,
The allies and enemies that have been there as characters in your story,
We're going to approach the innermost cave,
The deeper realms,
The lower world.
This is allowing yourself to really honor and feel to its fullest all of these challenges.
The sometimes mixed feelings of these life events and these allies and enemies just give space and breathe deeply in the innermost cave,
Depths,
Your being.
You are safe.
Now begin to realize that through this depth,
This underworld and this acknowledgement of your life,
You've been able to already in your life's journey and here in this moment face the challenges,
The tribulation,
Whether they were physical,
Mental,
Emotional,
Spiritual.
You have survived.
You have made it through these supreme ordeals in your life.
Feel the feeling of being able to even just for a few moments acknowledge your deeper pains and hurts and challenges and welcome in the support of the allies and even the lessons learned from those that were perceived as foes or enemies.
Breathe deeply here as you honor all of it.
As you breathe deeply,
Smoothly and fully,
Begin to see the light,
The light in all of that darkness.
The light is from within you shining brightly,
Illuminating all that was led,
All that was tarnished,
All that was heavy,
Dark.
Your light is shining brightly and fully and you begin to see the gift,
The gold from those challenges from that pain.
You get to seize the reward,
The gifts,
The growth.
Begin to feel lighter in your heart,
In your mind,
Feeling an upward pull,
An ascending energy.
This illuminating light coming into the space of gratitude,
Those challenges,
Those people,
Those life experiences as you have now honored them,
Seen them,
Felt them.
You can now feel the gratitude of that journey from lead to gold.
You are a great alchemist in this story,
Alchemizing all that pain into purpose.
Feel that feeling of reward,
Gifts of gratitude.
And now from this place,
We will begin to make our way back.
We're going to follow the road back,
Bringing with us the gifts that you have learned and earned along the way.
Begin to walk back towards the ordinary world with this extraordinary or extraordinary feeling and sense within you.
There may be a glimmer of purpose,
Of hope.
The gifts that you will bring back to the ordinary world will act as a balm for your world and everyone within it.
A type of healing elixir from your willingness,
Your courage and strength to embark on the hero's journey and to bring back with you the knowledge,
The wisdom,
The freedom,
That sacred treasure.
As you return home,
You do so with a sense of healing,
Transformation and growth.
You are returning home now with your elixir,
With your gold.
As you arrive back in your everyday ordinary world,
You have a knowing that there's nothing extraordinary about you or your life's journey.
It is extraordinary.
It is inspired.
You are extraordinary and inspired.
You are a gift.
You are the healing elixir for yourself and your life.
Allow for a few moments to come into gratitude for this hero's journey,
For your place and your role in it.
Let that gratitude spill out from within your heart and touch the heart and lives of all those around you.
It is with deep gratitude that I leave you here and remind you that you are the hero in this epic story.
