Hello and welcome.
My name is Alisha Livier-Park and today I'm going to take you on a meditative journey to connect with your three selves.
The three selves is the heart and soul of us being able to heal,
Connect and to flourish within ourselves.
Begin by finding a comfortable seat,
Allowing for the body to be relaxed and receptive.
With every exhalation,
Allow any tension,
Any expectations to just gently melt away.
Breath by breath becoming more centered and present.
As you're breathing,
Begin to feel the rise and fall of your breath.
Pay attention to its unique cadence within you.
Feel the fullness of the inhalation as you bring oxygen and life force into your body.
Feel that emptying out,
That surrender,
That letting go as you exhale,
Releasing the breath.
We will continue like this back and forth,
Like a gentle ebb and flow,
In breath to out breath.
And as you're breathing,
Asking the question,
Who is the one that is breathing?
And in the context of the three selves in this journey,
The one who is breathing is the conscious adult,
The awakening self.
So as you breathe,
Begin to be with that,
Sit with that,
What that might mean to you.
Let your curiosity and creativity be expanded as you begin to contemplate yourself as a conscious adult.
What does that mean?
What does that mean to you to be a conscious adult,
To be an awakening adult?
Breathe and be here,
Honoring the answers,
Honoring the experiences that come when you ask that question.
What does being a conscious adult mean to you here and now?
And as you are exploring this,
Know that oftentimes the inspirations and answers will come far after the meditation.
We're planting seeds here together.
For me,
I have found that the awakening adult,
The conscious adult is the me that has chosen to show up for this life's journey,
Has used free will choice to say yes to embarking on the path of awakening and living with conscious awareness.
And this self,
We can even feel the body of this self,
The adult body,
Current state of our physical being,
Mental,
Emotional states.
It's all part of this conscious adult experience.
In meditation,
I often connect this adult self with my higher self.
And that word or that name that I call it,
The higher self,
It may be the same for you or it may be different.
I invite you to tune in to what this self might be like for you.
Meaning the part of self that's beyond the mind,
The intellect,
The ego,
The life experiences and emotions.
Oftentimes people refer to this as their true self,
Their divine self,
Their divine nature,
God consciousness,
I am consciousness.
The list of words and titles is vast.
So begin to connect with what that means for you,
To connect with your higher self or whatever you might call the essence of your being.
Allowing the breath and the body to be soft and relaxed as you explore the upper realm,
As you explore a higher vantage point from which to be able to clearly see yourself and your life.
Now begin to feel the symbiotic relationship between the conscious adult and the higher self,
The awakening self and the true self.
Whatever names resonate with you,
Feel the reciprocity,
The energy of giving and receiving between the two.
Let the adult self fill up with the light of the higher self just like when you gently turn your face towards the rising sun and receive that sunlight on your face,
The warmth,
The love,
The nourishment on yourself received from above.
And now with this connection to something beyond our mind,
Our intellect,
Our ego and human experience,
Feeling grounded and centered though,
As you are walking this earth,
Living awake,
You now may feel supported and connected and guided,
Inspired in fact to hold space,
Safe and sacred space for this last self.
I call this self the inner child.
This is the part of self that houses the innocence,
The experiences,
The formative years between zero and seven.
That means in utero,
In the womb,
The experiences that most likely remain in the subconscious and in the fabric of your DNA and your tissues,
Regardless if there is memorable recall.
The imprint began in utero and carried through the formative years through seven years of age.
It is the inner child's experiences,
Feelings,
Beliefs that were formed from those experiences and those feelings that we are most curious about.
So the higher self and the conscious adult can show up holding space,
Loving kind and caring,
Compassionate,
Free of judgment.
Expectations can be left aside as well.
We just open our hearts.
We open our minds to asking the child part of self.
Is there anything that they want to share?
Anything they want to show us,
Tell us?
Is there any feelings that they'd like us to acknowledge,
To honor,
To feel?
So pause here with your inner child and this openness to these invitations for the child to come forward and share.
Allow your breath to remain steady and open,
Letting yourself just release and relax into anything you may or may not be experiencing.
There's no need to force or control.
Just show up and breathe and be.
Now we thank the child within.
Regardless if you had any real tangible experiences in this moment,
Remember this meditation is to plant seeds.
You may receive the answers outside meditation or when you revisit this meditation once again.
Just approach with a gentleness,
Curiosity and an openness,
Letting the child part of self be seen and heard,
Honored,
Acknowledged.
And I encourage you to have this be a daily practice of connecting consciously to your three selves,
These sacred selves that provide the framework for true lasting healing and growth.
Allow for a few more breaths and a moment of gratitude for the three selves,
The multiple layers of who you are.
And take a moment to seal or close this meditative journey in any way that feels like it honors you.
Maybe it's hands on heart or a gentle bow or smile,
Gratitude for yourself for showing up,
Whatever it is for you.
Closing the meditative journey and opening your eyes,
Your heart and your mind to anything that should come of this guided meditative journey together.
Take care.
