Hello,

This is Ali Mortimer at Hear Yourself Happy and today I'm going to be taking you through a guided visualisation for a happier and healthier you.

I want you to know that success is achieved twice.

Everything is created once in the mind and then once in reality.

And that is why we do guided meditations and visualisations.

So when you're ready and when you're feeling comfortable either sitting down in a comfortable position or lying down somewhere where you're not going to be disturbed,

I'd like you to start taking a few deep abdominal breaths.

In through your nose and out through your mouth.

And do that again in through your nose and out through your mouth,

Allowing all that oxygen through your mind and body.

And on this third time take a deep breath and lift your shoulders up to your ears and as you breathe out let them drop down.

Now just let your breath return gently to your normal rhythm and focus on loosening all the muscles,

The tiny little muscles around your eyes.

Allow your jaw to relax,

Your shoulders to drop,

Your legs to feel heavy.

Let your tummy soften and just breathe.

It's time to give yourself permission to completely relax.

Nothing is needed of you at this time or in this moment or the next few minutes.

And if you hear noises,

The birds singing birds,

The rustling of the leaves in the trees,

Perhaps a dog barking or a car going by.

Just bring your mind gently back to the sound of my voice.

And if your mind wonders that's okay too,

That's just what minds do.

Just bring your mind gently back to the sound of my voice or the feeling of your breathing.

So we're going to start by taking some time to be grateful for your health.

Be grateful for your health right now.

Without our health,

Nothing else is possible.

Even if you've got some health issues,

Focus on what is good with your health.

Give thanks for your amazing body that allows you to move,

That allows you to dance and to love.

Give thanks for all your organs that allow you to live,

To breathe and to function as a human.

Give thanks for your senses that enable you to see,

To hear,

To feel,

Taste and smell all the wonders of the world.

Take a moment to smile,

Feel content and at peace and give yourself permission to be happy.

Take a moment to imagine doing something that you love doing,

Something that brings you joy.

Imagine that now.

And now allow yourself to feel excitement and anticipation for a wonderful future.

So we're going to focus on that future now.

I'd like you to imagine yourself six months from now.

Imagine yourself as the healthiest,

Happiest version of you.

Imagine yourself full of light,

Full of energy and full of laughter.

Imagine yourself bathed in sunlight and warmth,

Smiling,

Laughing.

Take a moment to imagine what types of meals you'll be eating.

Imagine the whole foods and all the colourful fruits and vegetables that you're going to fuel your body with.

Imagine your strong body,

Nourished by wholesome,

Healthy food.

And now imagine what type of activities you'll be doing to keep yourself fit.

Imagine your strong and lean and live,

Healthy body.

Imagine feeling refreshed from a good night's sleep and for taking some guilt-free rest time each day.

Imagine yourself waking up full of energy and vitality for the day ahead.

Imagine yourself feeling a calm contentment,

Feeling peaceful,

Purposeful and in flow with the universe.

Imagine yourself living with abundance and full of energy.

Take a moment now with your future happier,

Healthier you.

Know and believe that this version of you is possible for you.

Believe that this is your future.

And now with that image of yourself,

Your future happier,

Healthier self imprinted on your mind,

It's time to come back to the present.

I'd like you to start to wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Take a really deep breath and open your eyes.
