The holiday season and Christmas are a notoriously busy time of year for so many. A time with a layer of pressure to finish projects or wrap up loose ends, more social commitments, more tasks on the to-do list, perhaps gifts to buy, meals to plan and prepare. But on a deeper level, this time of year often brings up big emotions, perhaps a by-product of spending more time with family, feeling over-stretched and under-appreciated, perhaps a reminder that another year has passed, and for some, maybe a feeling of sadness or grief that you are not experiencing the festive spirit and family connections that you may be seeing around you. All of this to say, if you find this time of year hard, for whatever reason, you’re not alone. And this meditation is here to help you carve out a little time to come back to yourself, time to pause, turn inwards, and return to a state of balance and calm.
