This meditation practice is designed to support you in tuning into your body and listening to the wisdom it wants to share with you.

Because so often our minds can be so very noisy,

So much so that they almost drown out the whispers from our body.

And for many it can feel like the mind and body are disconnected or in conflict with each other.

Many can harbor feelings of confusion and frustration as to what is going on in their body and why.

So this meditation is an invitation to pause,

Soften and tune in.

It is a gentle reminder that your body is not your adversary.

It is a wise,

Intuitive ally that holds a profound understanding of what you most need.

So this is your opportunity here to tune in.

Not to fix,

But simply to listen.

So I invite you to just make yourself nice and comfy,

Either sitting or lying.

And when you feel settled in the position you have chosen,

This is your invitation here to gently close down your eyes if that feels good for you.

But otherwise you may simply like to soften or lower your gaze.

But no matter which option you choose here,

This is a signal to your body and to your mind that this is a time to turn inwards.

And here I invite you to gently bring your attention to your breath.

Without judgment and with no need to change it,

But simply to observe it.

Because so often what happens is that simply by bringing your attention to your breath is that the breath gently gets a little deeper and slower and longer without you even having to prompt or ask or force.

And remember a fast mind equals a fast breath.

So when your breath slows,

This allows space for the mind to slow also.

And remember as we move through today's meditation that your breath is your anchor and you can return to it at any time.

So I invite you here to now tune into your body and consider is there a particular sensation you are noticing in a particular part of your body.

Maybe there is an area of tension,

An area that feels niggly or maybe even a little sore.

Maybe an area of tightness.

And this may be subtle,

It may be very strong,

It may be an area that is an ongoing and long-standing problem for you.

Or maybe it is something that you have spontaneously and instinctively noticed only now.

Because sometimes we can be rushing through life,

Rushing through the day,

So busy that it's not until we pause and slow down that we notice the tightness in your shoulder,

The sore lower back,

The tense jaw,

The tired eyes,

Whatever it might be for you.

So this is your opportunity to get quiet,

Slow down,

Tune in and listen.

So again I'll give you a moment here to bring your attention to this part of your body that is calling to you today.

Consider here,

What does it feel like?

What words come to mind?

What sensations do you notice?

And now I invite you to consider if this part of your body was able to communicate with you,

What would it be saying?

And yes,

This might sound strange.

The logical part of your mind might be jumping in,

Saying that doesn't make sense,

That's impossible.

And if this is present for you,

That's okay.

I encourage you to simply be curious.

I'll ask the question again,

And just feel,

Notice,

Listen,

Consider what comes up for you.

If this part of your body was sending you a message,

What would it be saying?

What does it want you to know?

What might it be asking from you?

Maybe it's asking for love,

Compassion,

Kindness.

Maybe it's asking for you to slow down.

Maybe it's asking for your understanding.

For protection,

Gratitude.

Maybe it's asking to be made a priority.

Maybe it's even asking for help.

There's no right or wrong here.

Just consider what is this part of your body asking from you.

And how could you honor this?

How could you fulfill its request of you?

So whatever might have come up for you here,

I invite you now to come to this part of your body with so much love and compassion and gratitude for all that it does for you.

For how it supports you to live and move and function.

Perhaps there are even a few words that you would like to say here to express your gratitude and love.

Perhaps you would like to lay your hands on this part of your body.

Whatever feels right and intuitive for you.

This is your opportunity to come to your body with an energy of love and compassion and gratitude.

So here I encourage you to tune back into this part of your body just as you did at the beginning and consider how does it feel?

What sensations do you notice?

Consider here,

Is this the same as before?

Has it changed?

There is no right or wrong.

Either way is completely fine.

But if it has changed,

What feels different?

So as you come to the end of this meditation today,

Just bring your attention back to your breath just as we did at the beginning.

Bring your attention to it.

Notice it.

Maybe you'd like to fill up your lungs and take a big intentional deep breath in.

And then let it go and let that breath completely leave your body.

And as you do,

Maybe you'd like to wriggle your fingers,

Your toes.

Maybe you stretch out your arms,

Your legs,

Rock your head from side to side,

Move your body in whatever ways feel good for you as you just bring a little bit more movement back into yourself.

And then whenever you feel ready,

You can open up your eyes,

Come back to your surroundings and move forward with your day.
