I'm guessing you're here because you're having a bad day and if you are,

I want you to know that's perfectly okay.

I also want to remind you of something important.

Throughout your life,

You have survived and recovered from every bad day you've ever had,

Every difficult season,

Every moment that hurt,

Every time you thought you might not get through it.

Somehow you did.

That says something about you.

You are stronger than you think.

You are someone who grows through adversity,

Even when it doesn't feel like growth at the time.

Sometimes healing doesn't look the way you expect it to.

Sometimes courage looks like simply getting through the day.

My friend,

The proof is in the pudding.

You are still here and whatever you're facing right now,

Whether it's something personal,

Emotional,

Mental,

Or just one of those days where everything feels heavy,

Please remember this.

Every time you move through a difficult moment,

You build something within yourself.

You become wiser,

More resilient,

More understanding,

And more capable.

I like to think of this as your psychological immune system.

When your body gets sick or when you cut yourself or even break a bone,

You trust that the body knows how to heal.

You may not know exactly how long it'll take and vary from individual to individual,

And it might take longer than you think,

But it's all still happening underneath the surface.

Your mind and heart can be like that too.

You may not feel okay right now,

But that doesn't mean you won't be okay again.

Nothing lasts forever,

Including the way you are feeling in this moment.

So today,

I want you to place a little bit of faith back in yourself.

You're not here by accident.

You are here to grow,

To contribute,

To inspire,

And to become more of who you truly are.

You carry more strength and kindness,

Wisdom,

And courage than you probably give yourself credit for.

So here's a small reflection for you.

Ask yourself the following three questions.

What qualities do I carry that make me unique?

Who am I when I am at my best?

And what strengths have helped me overcome difficult moments before?

Because those strengths are still in you,

My friend.

They haven't disappeared.

They're just buried underneath the weight of today.

So take a breath,

Let it out,

And have faith in yourself today,

My friend.

You will get through this.

You've done it before,

And you can do it again.

Sending you lots of love.

Stay strong,

And remember,

Tough times do not last,

But tough people do.
