From stress to presence.
Welcome to Mindful Transitions for Educators.
I'm Alexandra,
Mindfulness teacher and systemic coach.
This practice is offered as an invitation rather than an instruction.
You're always welcome to adapt it in whatever way feels supportive today.
You might take what feels helpful,
Leave the rest and remember that you're always in charge of your own experience.
Let's begin.
One lesson has ended,
The next moment hasn't begun yet,
And here you are,
In the space between.
The last lesson may have been busy,
Something may still be on your mind,
Or you may simply be moving through a full day with many different demands.
Whatever you're bringing into this moment.
It's welcome to be here.
If it feels comfortable,
Notice your feet meeting the floor.
Feeling the steady support beneath you.
Allow yourself to pause.
Just for these next few moments.
If it feels supportive today,
You might invite yourself to take three slow,
Intentional breaths.
Not because you need to change anything,
But simply to mark this transition from one moment to the next.
Yeah.
With your first slow breath,
Notice what you're still carrying from the last lesson.
A conversation,
A feeling.
A challenge.
An unfinished thought.
Or simply a sense of dizziness.
There's nothing you need to fix,
Nothing you need to analyze.
Simply noticing whatever is here.
With your next slow breath,
Imagine placing the last lesson on a nearby shelf.
Not pushing it away.
Not forgetting it.
Simply allowing it to rest there.
For now.
You can return to it later if it still needs your attention.
For this moment,
You don't have to carry it any further.
With your third slow breath.
Gently turning your attention toward whatever comes next.
The next lesson.
A conversation with a student.
Akali?
Apparent or the rest of your day.
Whatever is waiting for you,
Allow yourself to meet it with fresh attention.
Notice your feet on the floor once more.
Steady.
Present.
The moment behind you is complete.
The moment ahead is still waiting.
Between the two,
There's this breath.
This choice,
This new beginning.
As you're ready,
Allow your awareness to widen,
Noticing the space around you.
The sounds nearby.
And whenever it feels right,
Continue with your day.
One breath.
One transition.
One New Beginning Thank you for taking this moment for yourself.
Small moments of presence can gently shape the way we teach,
The way we connect,
And the way we care for ourselves.
Until next time,
Take good care.
