Grounding For Peace
by Alena Turley
Peace isn't the absence of everything difficult it's feeling steady enough that difficult things don't knock you over. This sensory-based practice uses a five-senses check-in, contact with the ground, and an optional roots visualisation, drawing on trauma-informed, polyvagal-informed grounding work. Helps with anxiety, that untethered or floaty feeling, and needing to feel physically steady before a demanding day. Stays close to the body and senses throughout, making it accessible even on busy-mind days. Keywords: grounding meditation, five senses, present moment, anxiety relief, nervous system stability, sensory grounding, calm and steady.
