Welcome to Haiku for Healing.
Today we are focusing on grounding work when times are tough and we are faced with difficult obstacles.
Settle into where you are.
Hear what is around you.
Clear your mind.
Now think of something that represents an obstacle.
It can be a mountain or a river or a rainstorm.
Think of what represents an obstacle to you.
Now how would you overcome that obstacle?
If your obstacle is a mountain,
Do you climb?
If it is a river,
Do you swim?
If it is a rainstorm,
Do you seek shelter?
My grounding obstacle is a mountain and here is my haiku.
If I were to climb a mountain,
What then?
Keep on.
Find another climb.
If you find these helpful,
Please like and share.
If you create your own haiku,
I would love to see those as well.
And if you have any suggestions about a guided haiku meditation you would like to see or hear,
Please get in touch.
Remember that haiku have a certain number of syllables and this can be helpful for centering and helping to structure our thoughts and our mind.
But if you need to write more or less,
Do what feels right.
You can keep your haiku and other notes in the journal section on the Insight Timer application.
The first line of a haiku has five syllables,
The second has seven,
And the last has five.
My name is Asia Beach and thank you very much for joining me.
