Hello and welcome to this guided meditation on gratitude.
I think it's something that we all need a little love right now.
And I'm very grateful to have this platform,
Insight Timer,
To share this moment with you to just get us centered.
So I'm going to ask you to get into a comfortable position,
Whether it's seated upright and or even lying down,
Whatever makes you the most comfortable where you can become very present to this moment.
And I'm going to invite you to close your eyes and just start to become conscious of your breath,
Inhaling in through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
Again,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
So as we just come so aware of our breath,
Start to notice your feet,
Wiggle your toes and just relax.
Fall into the chair or onto the sofa,
Wherever you're at.
We want to relax every muscle in our body.
Moving your hips,
Fingers,
A couple of shoulder rolls forward and back,
Allowing your head to go side to side.
Just let all the tension go and bring yourself back to your breath.
And I want you to bring to mind someone or something in your life that you're truly grateful for.
It could be a loved one,
A friend,
A pet or anything that really brings you joy or happiness.
For me,
It's my son.
So much happiness that when I even consider it,
It just radiates my heart.
And so as you think of this person or this thing,
Where do you feel it in your body?
Become aware of that spot,
That warm,
Loving energy.
And I want you to become aware of it.
How does it feel?
So if it's in your belly,
Your root chakra,
If it's in your heart,
Wherever it is in your body,
Become aware of that and allow that to just now just spread through your entire body.
Not as a disruption,
But like a volcano.
Allow all that gratitude and that love for that sensation to truly go through every cell,
Every organ,
Every function of your being and just sink into this awareness,
This feeling of gratitude that we're taking this time away to imagine as it grows stronger and stronger throughout your entire body.
As we breathe into this gratitude,
Nothing else exists that where we put our attention,
Our attention goes.
So what better place to rest than in gratitude that it's always,
Always here for us.
It's always going to be there for you.
And so I ask you to spend a few minutes just like this in gratitude,
Feeling it wash all over you.
And when you're ready,
Slowly at this point,
You can open your eyes,
Taking one more deep breath,
Inhale and sigh as you exhale.
Just take a look around the room and remember this is where you were seated and where you began this process.
But hopefully things around you look a little bit different because where you're looking from is where you're looking with,
And this is a sense of gratitude now.
And so remember you have this feeling you can go back to at any point in any time throughout your day.
And you can return to this recording if you're feeling the need to be reminded that gratitude is yours always and forever.
So I wish you well.
I wish you much love and much peace.
Namaste.
