Start this time by taking a few deep breaths,
And as you do,
Focus on the fact that God is here with you.
Now,
Psalm 23.
The Lord is my shepherd.
Take a moment to reflect on your life.
This day,
Who or what is guiding you and leading you?
The culture?
Your job?
Yourself?
Right now,
Imagine God's calming,
Guiding,
Loving voice speaking to you,
Saying,
Let me be your guide.
Spend a moment surrendering your own agenda and ask him to lead you today.
The Lord is my shepherd.
I shall not want.
Reflect on this.
In what ways do you feel unfulfilled or discontent?
Is there something out there in the future that you think will give you satisfaction once you receive it?
Of course,
The deeper part of you knows this is false.
No object,
No job,
No person will quench those desires.
This is the role of the divine,
The creator who gives life and sustains life.
So take a moment and ask God to teach you to find deep satisfaction in him in each present moment.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
A green pasture is an image of plenty and abundance,
Not scarcity.
Remember in this moment that you can rest.
You can let your guard down.
You can stop competing or climbing the ladder or proving your worth.
In this moment,
God provides everything you need.
His kingdom is one of abundance and wholeness.
Ask him now to help you rest and release.
Releasing the fear and worry of not having or being enough.
He leads me beside still waters.
Today will bring noise and lots of it.

Remember his still small voice is just a breath away.
To hear his whispers requires leaving the chaos and turmoil,
Even if only for a few minutes throughout the day.
Right now,
Remember his nearness as you are still.
And he restores my soul through his guidance,
His abundance,
And his stillness.
He will restore and refresh and renew you from the inside.
Take a breath and ask him to do this today to restore your soul,
Renew your passion,
Refresh your spirit.
He leads me in right paths for his namesake.
Our minds are finite.
We don't always know what is best for us,
Which is why we need this good shepherd to guide.
Not for our own agenda or glory,
But for his kingdom.
So end your time of reflection today by simply asking him to lead you on his path in each moment today and every day.
Now,
Go in grace and in peace and in the awareness of the good shepherd.
