"My holiness shines bright and clear today." This lesson emphasizes recognizing and embracing our inherent holiness. It teaches that our holiness is not something we need to acquire, but rather something we already possess as creations of God. The lesson encourages us to let go of self-doubt and judgment and to allow our inner light to shine forth without fear. By accepting and expressing our holiness, we offer healing and inspiration to ourselves and others, remembering our divine nature and connection to God All quotes are from A Course in Miracles, copyright ©2007, Third Edition used with permission from the publisher and copyright holder, the Foundation for Inner Peace, 448 Ignacio Blvd., #306, Novato, CA 94949.

A Course in Miracles Lesson 285 My holiness shines,

Bright and clear today.

Today I wake with joy,

Expecting the happy things of God to come to me.

I ask them to come,

And realize my invitation will be answered by the thoughts to which the invitation has been sent by me.

I will ask for only joyous things the instant I accept my holiness.

What would be the use of pain to me?

What purpose would my suffering fulfill?

How would grief and loss benefit me if sanity departs from me today,

And I accept my holiness instead?

My holiness is yours.

Let me rejoice in your holiness.

Father,

Through forgiveness let me be restored to sanity.

I am still as you created me.

Father,

My holiness is part of me,

And also part of you.

My holiness is part of me.

What can alter holiness itself?

Today I am expecting the happy things of God to come to me.

I ask them to come.

I realize my invitation will be answered.

I ask for only joyous things the instant I accept my holiness.

What is the use of pain to me?

What purpose does my suffering fulfill?

How does grief and loss benefit me?

Insanity departs from me today,

And I accept my holiness.

My holiness is yours.

Father,

Let me rejoice in your holiness.

Father,

Through forgiveness let me be restored to sanity.

I am still as you created me.

Father,

My holiness is part of me,

And also part of you.

What can alter holiness itself?

My holiness shines,

Bright and clear today.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
