ACIM Lesson 226 Prayer

"My home awaits me. I will hasten there," emphasizes that leaving this world is not achieved through death but through a change in perception about the world's purpose. The lesson suggests that our true home is with God, and by relinquishing the value we place on the world, we can mentally depart from it.
We are encouraged to practice meditation and prayer, visualizing God as a welcoming parent, to help shift the mind towards this spiritual home.

A Course in Miracles. Lesson 226. My home awaits me. I will hasten there, If I so choose, I can depart this world entirely. It is not death which makes this possible, But it is change of mind about the purpose of the world. If I believe that the world has a value as I see it now, So will this world still remain for me. But if I see no value in the world as I behold it, There is nothing that I want to keep as mine. There is nothing that I want to search for as a goal. The world will depart from me, For I have not sought for illusions to replace the truth. Father, My home awaits my glad return. Father, Your arms are open and I hear your voice. What need have I to linger in a place of vain desires? What need have I to linger in a place of shattered dreams? What need have I to linger in this place when heaven can so easily be mine? My home awaits me. I will hasten there. Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.
