Hello and welcome to a singing practice of the Prayer of St.
Francis.
For an introduction to this practice and a guided response,
Please refer to this track's sister track titled An Introduction to a Singing Practice of the Prayer of St.
Francis.
On this track,
You'll hear a very brief guided meditation,
Three repetitions of the prayer,
And a short period of silence beginning and ending with a bell.
So to begin,
Go ahead and close your eyes and allow your breath to lead your awareness to your heart center.
Take a few deep breaths here,
Opening,
Softening,
And inviting the vibration of peace to enter with this practice.
Lord,
Make me an instrument of your peace where there is hatred.
Let me bring love where there is injury.
Let me bring pardon where there is doubt.
Let me bring faith where there is despair.
Let me bring hope where there is darkness.
Let me bring light where there is sadness.
Let me bring joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console to be understood,
As to understand to be loved,
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Lord,
Make me an instrument of your peace where there is hatred.
