Welcome to the meditation for the Type 1,
A sacred reformer.
This is for those of you who experience an inner judge and wanting that judgment to step into becoming a wise steward.
Let's begin by sitting.
Allow your spine to lengthen naturally.
Notice where your body is holding itself tightly.
Without changing anything,
Simply observe.
Where inside you feels as if it must stay vigilant.
Take a nice,
Deep,
Slow inhale through the nose.
And extend your exhale longer than your inhale.
Again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Allow gravity to hold what you no longer need to manage in this moment.
Bring awareness to your jaw.
Your shoulders.
Your stomach.
Notice any subtle efforting,
Any internal pressure to get this meditation right.
Softly say inwardly to yourself,
I do not have to perfect this moment.
I do not have to be perfect in this moment.
Imagine now a figure approaching you.
A wise steward.
Grounded,
Clear-eyed,
Steady.
Not rigid or controlling.
Deeply trustworthy.
This figure carries discernment without doubt.
Any punishing.
Notice where this archetype lives inside your body.
Perhaps they reside in the chest.
Or maybe your spine.
Or deep in your belly.
Wherever you find.
This archetype.
Breathe into that space.
Now become aware of the inner judge.
Not as an enemy,
But as a protector that learned vigilance.
Ask this archetype gently,
What are you afraid would happen if you stopped correcting everything?
Listen.
Listen without debate.
Without argument.
Notice what emotions arise.
Grief,
Longing Exhaustion.
Allow all these emotions space.
Allow them space.
Now imagine the wise steward placing their hand over your heart.
You hear them.
You are allowed to belong.
Before you improve.
You are allowed to belong without perfection.
You belong.
Take three deep breaths,
Receiving this message.
Feel your body soften.
Moving out of obligation.
Into compassion.
Not perfection.
Presence.
And integrity.
Pause here in presence.
And integrity.
Breathing in deeply.
Exhaling completely.
Breathing into your presence.
Breathing out,
Tension.
Breathing in to presence.
Breathing out,
Perfection.
Breathing in,
Presence.
Breathing out,
Integrity.
Allowing any emotions.
To rise up.
And release and process with your breath.
As we end the meditation.
Carry this question into the rest of your day.
What does integrity feel like?
Absent of tension.
