This meditation is for the Enneagram Type 2,
Our sacred giver.
We will allow the helper to become the nourishing heart and release self-abandoning.
Take a moment and close your eyes.
Gently bring awareness to your breathing.
Without needing to change it.
Or fix it.
Notice where your attention immediately goes.
Does it move towards others?
Is there something you're anticipating?
Does it move towards caretaking?
Now slowly bring attention back to yourself.
This is not selfish attention.
This is Relationship.
A deep nourishing relationship.
Inhale deeply into your chest.
And take an exhale through the mouth,
Softly blowing.
Allow another deep inhale to come in.
Exhale that breath through the mouth again.
Taking another full breath.
And exhale again,
Feeling the center of your chest soften.
Do you feel any impulse?
To perform.
To be good.
To earn love.
Through emotional labor.
Simply notice.
Where the impulse to perform resides.
Feel into your body.
The pattern of being good.
What sensations arise.
When you recognize.
The impulse to earn love.
Through labor.
Simply notice.
Imagine now a warm,
Radiant presence.
Arrives in front of you.
We'll call this presence the nourishing heart.
The archetype that gives without depletion.
That receives without shame.
Who loves without disappearing.
Notice how this nourishing heart presence breathes in front of you.
Slowly.
.
.
And openly.
Let your nervous system mirror this rhythm.
Now ask inwardly.
What?
Do I hope people never discover about my own needs?
What do I keep hidden?
To not be a burden.
Allow whatever arises to come up.
Notice.
Sensations in your body.
Is there any tightness in your throat?
Any pressure in your chest.
Any rise in temperature behind your eyes.
There is nothing to fix about these sensations.
Simply accompany them.
Hold them.
See them.
Feel into them.
Now imagine that the nourishing heart speaks.
Clearly and directly to you.
Your worth does not increase through self-erasure.
Breathe those words into your belly.
Your worth,
Your value does not increase.
By abandoning yourself.
Keep breathing those words.
Your value.
Is inherent.
Your value.
Is inherent.
You have inherent value in this world.
Imagine that there are roots.
Descending beneath you.
And support moving upward through your body.
Anchored.
In nourishing reciprocity.
What might it be like to receive nourishment?
Without having to earn it.
Stay in that possibility.
Where would you feel that love?
Where would you receive that nourishment?
As we close this meditation,
Place a hand over your heart and ask.
What does love feel like when I remain fully present to myself?
What does love feel like?
When I remain fully present to myself.
Anchoring your breath.
In this self-love.
And presence.
