This meditation is for the Enneagram 5,
Our sacred observer.
We'll move in this meditation from detached thinking into becoming an embodied sage.
Begin by noticing your breath.
Observe it.
Observe your breath without analyzing it.
Can you allow experience?
To unfold before you interpret it.
Feel the weight of your body.
And the points of contact beneath you.
Notice where your attention goes.
When you pull energy inward.
Where do you conserve energy?
Where do you withdraw?
Where do you protect?
Breathe there.
Breathe here.
Now imagine you are stepping out from behind a wall.
Not forcing it.
But feeling open in curiosity.
As you step out.
Before you stands.
The Embodied Sage.
They're quiet.
They're perceptive.
They are deeply connected.
And grounded.
This archetype trusts.
Trusts participation as much as observation.
Notice how your body responds to the embodied sage.
Does caution arise?
Stay gentle.
Stay present.
Keep breathing.
Ask inwardly.
What feels dangerous about being fully engaged with life?
Where do you feel danger,
Fear?
In your body.
Send your breath to that place,
Pausing.
In presence.
What feels dangerous about being fully engaged with life?
Listen beneath the mind.
Feel into the body.
What feels dangerous about being fully engaged with life?
Notice sensations.
Constriction in your chest.
Distance.
Tightness.
And imagine.
Through these sensations.
The embodied sage extends their hand toward you.
This is not a demand.
This is an invitation.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
Exhale that breath all the way out.
You hear the sage say.
You will not become depleted through authentic connection.
You will not become depleted through authentic connection.
And you feel a warmth moving through your arms.
You feel your chest open slightly.
And your bellies soften.
Allowing yourself to occupy more space internally.
And externally.
Continue breathing long and slow and deep.
Notice the temperatures rising and falling in different parts of your body.
Allow yourself.
To occupy more space.
Allow yourself.
To expand gradually.
Not flooding.
Not out of control,
A gentle,
Expansive energy.
Can you feel the difference?
Between a healthy boundary.
And isolation.
Feel into that difference.
Trust yourself and your healthy boundaries.
Trust that connection can happen there.
And that you will not become depleted.
Through that authentic connection.
As you continue to inhale,
Expanding gradually,
Gently.
And exhale grounding back into yourself.
Inhaling expansion.
Exhaling and grounding.
As we close this meditation.
Carry with you the inquiry.
What wisdom is available.
When I remain present.
What wisdom!
Is available when I remain present inside of my experience.
What wisdom is available.
