Hello friends,
My name is Wendy Bush and I'm going to read you a story called Jen and the Clumsy Dragon's Cure.
In the magical kingdom of Ascaria lived a clumsy dragon,
Zachariah.
He dwelled in a cave atop the hill by a sparkling fountain,
Serene and still.
Down in the valley far below,
Where the gentle winds would sometimes blow,
The magical folk would often hear a mighty roar that brought them fear.
They'd hurry and hide when night would fall,
Ducking behind large stones or a wall,
Boarding windows tight with care,
Peeking out from here and there.
One day Jen the bunny declared,
Of this dragon I am not scared.
I'll march up to his cave so high and ask him kindly to tell me why.
The magical folk cheered with delight,
Their spirits lifted at the sight.
Jen set off with courage bold,
Determined to end the roars so cold.
She knocked with force upon his door and thumped her foot upon the floor,
Ready to confront the dragon there and stop the roaring that filled the air.
When Zachariah opened wide,
A splinter stuck in his paw he'd hide,
A bruise upon his weary head from a clumsy bump when he rose from bed.
His eyes were sad and his spirits low,
A tear fell as he let out a woe,
For every time he hurt or fell,
A roar would burst like a mighty yell.
Seeing his sorrow,
Jen's heart did mend.
She soothed his pain and tried to befriend.
She gently pulled the splinter free and dried his tears with empathy.
She gave him glasses to ease his plight and brewed a cup of tea just right.
Jen's soft kindness and clever heart helped Zachariah make a fresh start.
With newfound sight and comfort warm,
The dragon roared no more in storm.
Escaria's peace was restored that day,
Thanks to Jen's kind unwavering way.
The end.
