Hello friends,

My name is Wendy Bush and I'm going to read you a story called Finn Finds New Friends In the deep blue sea where shadows roam Lived a shark named Finn all alone His scales were strong,

His teeth were sharp But in his heart there was a spark,

A spark of longing,

A hidden plea To a friend to share the endless sea Finn would glide through the ocean's swell But inside his heart there was no tale to tell He'd watch the ships that passed above Their sails like wings,

Their crews like doves He'd wonder what it was like to be Part of a group,

A family tree The ships would sail on by so fast And Finn would chase them,

But they never lost He'd swim with all his might and speed Hoping they'd notice his silent need But every time he drew too near the ships would turn and disappear Their laughter faded,

Their lights grew dim Leaving behind only the waves for him Finn would sigh and dive down deep Where only darkness dared to creep He'd circle around the ocean floor Wishing he could do much more Finn was strong and fierce and brave But all he wanted was to save Himself from this endless aching pain Of being alone in the vast ocean plain One day as Finn swam slow and low He felt a tickle,

Soft and slow He turned around with cautious grace And saw a school of fish face to face They were small and sleek with shining scales With playful eyes and lively tails Hello,

Big Finn,

They chimed with glee We've heard you lonely in the sea Finn blinked in shock,

His heart raced fast Was this the friendship he had found at last?

He watched them twirl and dance around Their laughter was a joyful sound We're remorers,

Small but true As they swam in two and two We stick together,

We're a team And we've chosen you to join our dream Finn was stunned,

Could it be real?

This fish had come to share and heal He felt a warmth he'd never known Like sunlight through the ocean shone But I'm so big and you're so small Finn said afraid to lose it all Why would you want to be with me?

I'm just a lonely shark lost at sea The remorers laughed and swam with grace They circled around Finn's mighty face Size doesn't matter,

Not at all It's the heart within that stands tall We've seen you chase the ships above And we understand you long for love But you don't need to chase or hide We'll be your friends,

Right by your side Finn's heart swelled with pure delight For the first time,

Things felt right He grinned wide,

His teeth so white And the ocean sparkled in the light From that day on,

Finn was not alone He had found a family,

A place called home The remorers clung to his sturdy side And together they surfed the tide They swam through corals,

Over sand Exploring every inch of land Finn no longer chased the ships For he had friends and joy on his lips They played and laughed and shared their dreams Diving through the sunlit beams Finn felt strong,

But not in might For his heart was full,

Shining bright The ocean was vast,

The world so wide But with his friends,

He had no need to hide They taught him love,

They taught him care And Finn knew,

He'd always have them there Through storms and waves,

They'd stick together Facing every kind of weather Finn knew now,

He wasn't alone He had found his place,

He had found his home So if you ever hear a tale Of a lonely shark who used to fail Remember Finn,

Who found his way In the deep blue sea,

Where friendships stay For no matter how big or small you are Friendship is the brightest star And in the ocean's endless blue Finn found his light,

And so can you The End
