Welcome to Morning Meditation.

I'm Jana and I'm here to help you settle into your day with intention.

Gently close your eyes.

Allow them to grow heavy.

Release any need to open them.

Your mouth is closed.

Lips are touching.

Jaws slightly open,

Not clenching.

Your tongue can relax.

Notice your head and all the sensations within it.

Notice your breath moving through the nose,

In and out.

Notice the sounds your ears can hear.

There are sounds far away.

Even the sounds of your own breath heard from inside your head.

These sounds only you can hear.

Let your breath slow down.

Gently just allow it to get slower.

Effortlessly slower.

Notice this slightly slower breath as it moves throughout your chest.

All the way down to your belly.

Notice where your hands rest.

Notice where all the parts of your body touch.

Perhaps your hands on your thighs.

Notice what part of your body touches the ground or your seat.

Just become aware that your body is held to the earth by gravity.

Your body is grounded.

Your mind can go anywhere.

For this reason,

It can set an intention for the day.

This intention will be a compass for your mind.

Each time it wanders off today,

You can remind it of the intention,

Which will find its way back to the body.

This intention is your North Star.

So join me now to ask your body what it intuitively wants to cultivate or amplify today.

This will be your intention,

Not a goal,

But a guiding light.

Perhaps an emotion or an idea that reminds you of what's most important.

Perhaps it could be courage or compassion.

Finding your voice,

Finding curiosity,

Perhaps even truth.

Allow this intention to form without forcing it.

Take a few breaths to bring this intention forward.

Let it unveil itself.

And now state your intention to yourself.

Let it be known to the mind.

Let it be felt in the body.

Know it will be here for you throughout the day.

Gently open your eyes.

Thank you for meditating with me.
