Good morning.
Begin by lying down in a comfortable position.
Allowing your arms to rest by your sides,
Palms facing up.
Allow your eyes to close and your whole body to soften.
Take a deep breath in and a slow deep exhale out.
And another deep inhale and a slow deep exhale.
Feel the surface below you,
Noticing the back of the head,
The shoulder blades,
The arms,
The legs,
The hips,
The heels.
Now set a simple morning intention.
Some examples could be,
I welcome joy.
I am focused and move with calm energy.
I am present.
Repeat your intention silently in your mind three times.
Now softly let this go as you bring your awareness back to your body.
We'll now begin moving our awareness through the body.
The body starts by becoming aware of the top of the head,
Forehead,
Eyes,
Cheeks,
Jaw,
Jaw,
Throat.
Feel both shoulders.
Bring awareness down the arms,
To the hands.
Feel the palms.
Feel the wrists.
Feel all ten fingers.
Bring awareness to the chest,
To the belly.
Feel it rising and falling.
Feel the hips,
The thighs,
The knees,
The calves,
Ankles,
The feet,
All ten toes.
Now sense the whole body at once,
From head to toe,
Feeling the whole body.
Now invite a feeling of brightness and clarity in the mind,
As if fresh morning air is moving through the space.
Feel the space behind the eyes.
On the next inhale,
Imagine you are drawing in clean energizing air,
Giving you clarity,
Calm energy,
Clear focus.
Now invite a warm,
Joyful energy at the center of the chest.
Let it move into the shoulders and arms,
Waking up the hands.
Let it move into the belly and hips.
Let it move down the legs into the feet,
The head and face.
Rest with this feeling for a few moments.
Calm energy,
Clear focus.
Pure joy.
Now imagine one simple quality you want to carry into your day.
It could be focus.
It could be ease.
Pure joy.
Feel that quality as a tone in the body.
Let's take a final cleansing breath in,
And deep breath out.
Now begin to transition back.
