Thank you for joining today.
We're going to tune in and calm your nervous system.
If you are in a really overwhelming moment,
If you're feeling a little anxious,
You're feeling overwhelmed,
Or if you're just feeling like you need a little reset,
We're going to get you back into your body.
Often,
Sometimes with the nervous system,
We can often be too much in our head,
Starting to do future planning,
Past experiences,
Start to analyze,
Start to really go down any thought loops within our mind.
But the best part is we can come out of this at any moment.
So find a comfortable position.
You're going to be lying down,
Seated,
Standing,
Whatever feels comfortable and feels like you can really ground yourself right now.
When you feel like you're in the right position,
Let's then go ahead and start.
To begin,
I want you to start to place like butterfly hands.
So if you want to tap your right hand over your left shoulder,
And then your left hand over your right shoulder,
And then start to have your hands kind of like flat,
And then start to gently tap your shoulder,
And then do them once on the left side,
Once on the right side,
And then just keep tapping and crossing them back over.
So tap,
Tap,
Tap.
Or alternatively,
You could also rub your arms up and down on your forearms,
Up to your shoulders,
With your opposite hand on your elbow.
Anything that will then get you just feeling into your body.
Start moving your arms up and down.
Start to really feel in.
Once you are moving that,
Let's then go ahead and start to take a little bit of breath.
Let's breathe in.
Hold.
Release.
Breathe in.
Hold.
Release.
Breathe in.
Hold.
Release.
And you can keep moving your arms,
Keep moving your hands,
With a butterfly tapping,
Or rubbing your arms up and down.
And as you're doing that,
Let's then call in this emotion of feeling safe.
So in this moment,
You are safe.
You can handle anything that life throws at you.
All these scenarios in your mind,
Any future planning,
Any past experience,
Those are just thoughts within your mind.
And we can send them some love.
And what I want you to visualize is you can either do in the sky,
You can imagine a beautiful,
Cloudy landscape.
And imagine within this,
In the sky,
It could either be a little evening where we have some almost sunset colors,
It could be in the bright day,
Whatever color you want to imagine.
And start to picture some puffy white clouds.
And these are big clouds,
And they are just floating on by.
They're just floating in the sky at their own time,
At their own pace.
And start to imagine any of those thoughts that feel a little tense,
Start to place them on those clouds.
You can either visualize this,
You could either feel it,
You can just have an inner knowing.
Or if you almost want to like have,
Say anything out loud or just anything with words,
You're also do that too.
So just start to place those on the clouds,
And then see them floating away.
You don't need to do anything,
You can just imagine them floating on.
See,
We get to pick and choose what thoughts we want to engage in.
And if these are ones that are feeling a little icky,
They're feeling a little sticky to us that day,
You can just put them on the cloud and let them float.
And they will pass on their own time.
There's nothing we need to do,
No rush,
We don't need to engage,
We can just let them carry on on their own way.
Let's take a couple moments here,
We'll let those move on.
And you can still keep moving your body if you want with your arms or your butterfly tapping.
Once you feel all of that has floated away,
We're then going to really feel into your body.
So let's start to feel if there's any emotions that are arising for you.
And let's start to see where they are in the body.
I know for me,
When I feel anxious,
I usually feel a really big tightness in my chest,
And I can feel it like almost being pressed down.
So find anywhere in the body,
If you're feeling anything,
Just start to locate that.
And if you aren't feeling anything in the body,
That's perfectly fine too.
Once you've identified that sensation in the body,
Let's then lean into it a little bit.
So start to really sense what you're feeling.
And whatever you're feeling is just fine.
We're humans,
You're going to have a range of emotions at any given moment in time.
But you can handle any emotion,
Any sensation that is coming up for you.
Let's just give it a little bit of moments to really sit with it and breathe through it.
And I want you to repeat this to yourself.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I am always protected.
I can handle any experience.
I can handle any emotion.
I can handle anything that's going on.
I trust my body.
I trust myself.
I trust any guidance that I am given.
And I send so much love to myself.
I give myself so much grace.
I forgive myself for any past experiences that I might have let any of these feelings subside or really get very angry.
I send any love to myself now.
And I forgive myself for anything in the future as we are human.
We have all these experiences and all these emotions.
And I'm tuning back into my body.
I trust my body.
And I know that I'm always,
Always,
Always guided and protected.
So send your body so much love.
And if there's any areas where you're still feeling a little bit of sensation,
Just keep sending them love.
And when you're ready,
You can stop.
If you're moving your arms up and down,
Or if you're doing a butterfly topping,
You can then slowly start to let your arms fall to the side.
And we're just going to take a couple more breaths.
Take a couple more breaths together to really come back into the space.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold,
Release.
Take another deep breath in,
Hold,
Release.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold,
Release.
Send your body and send your mind and send yourself so much love and send yourself so much gratitude.
Takes a lot sometimes to be able to really tune into this,
If you're especially in a very highly sensitive moment.
But you did it and I am so proud of you.
And when you're ready,
You can start to blink your eyes open,
Move your body a little bit.
And I'm sending you so much love.
And you can handle anything that today or beyond today will throw at you.
