Hello this is Teresa Conte and welcome to day 19 of 30 days of gratitude to inspire and uplift you.

Today I have a bit of an unusual idea I'd like to present to you when we get to the practice portion of today's program and I'd be very very curious to know what your experience is should you decide to try it.

But for now as always I'd like to share a quote with you and this one comes from Meister Eckhart.

He said,

If the only prayer you say in your life is thank you that would suffice.

Beautiful again I just love all of these quotes and I hope that you are enjoying them as well.

Now a thought to ponder.

I've heard it said that giving thanks is the highest form of prayer.

There's so much to be thankful for.

By now I'm guessing you have a pretty long list of gratitude practices you can implement but here's an idea I got from Louise Hay which may seem a little far out but I really love it.

So question for you what do you think about thanking the inanimate objects that are part of your everyday life?

It may seem again a little strange and different but if everything is energy why not?

We're accustomed to thanking people right and giving thanks for our food among other things so why not try thanking the inanimate objects that provide a service and make our lives more convenient and do that as a practice consciously.

After all we still experience the benefits of gratitude whether we're thanking a person,

Watching clouds floating by or thanking our washing machine for instance.

As it's summer I've been thanking my fan for keeping me cool,

My refrigerator for storing my food and keeping it from spoiling and my windows which when open cool the air by letting a breeze in.

How about you?

What's in your environment that you can be grateful for and do it consciously as an expression?

Begin by saying thank you to those objects.

Do it for a week or two then see if you notice a difference in how you feel about your environment.

Not only about your environment but in your environment.

Are there any changes that you notice when you walk in your home,

Your apartment?

Like what is your experience?

So I want to thank you.

Wishing you a most wonderful day.

Bye bye.
