Hi,

This is Teresa Conte and welcome to Day 18 of 30 Days of Gratitude to Inspire and Uplift You.

Thank you so much for joining me again today.

It is a pleasure to be here with you and to share today's program.

Today's quote comes from Marcel Proust.

He said,

Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy.

They are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

Wow,

I just love that quote.

So many people come to mind.

Family,

Friends,

Colleagues,

And others who I've shared so many different experiences with.

Travel,

Joy,

Laughter,

And even grief and sorrow.

They've all added so much quality to my life.

Perhaps there are people who come to your mind as well.

I think it's a beautiful quote and I hope you enjoyed it.

And now I'd like to share a thought to ponder.

Our friends and loved ones are the nutrients that feed our souls.

We nourish each other through our care,

Love,

Attention,

And the sharing of our joy and support.

Even strangers,

Animals,

Trees,

Rocks,

The ocean,

Rivers,

Streams,

And all forms of life provide us with love and help us to grow and blossom.

Most of us are so busy oftentimes that we don't take time to nourish ourselves.

Personally for me,

I love watching clouds.

It fills me with a deep sense of peace and gratitude.

And the nice thing is I can do it whether I'm outdoors or looking out my window.

So I have a suggestion if you'd like to try this out.

Brainstorm a list of what fills you with joy and wonder.

Then do something every day that feeds your soul and makes you smile.

It could be talking with a friend,

Going for a walk,

Reading a good book,

Feeling the wind on your skin,

Volunteering at an animal shelter,

Or listening to your favorite music.

These are just some suggestions,

A few ways we can feel nourished and increase our sense of love,

Satisfaction,

And happiness.

Your list may be entirely different.

These are just some ideas.

But what's important is to do what feeds your soul and makes you smile.

And you know what?

It doesn't have to take a lot of time or cost a lot of money,

If any.

In fact,

It can be as simple as watching clouds.

Wishing you a most wonderful day.
