Today's quote comes from none other than our beloved Dr.
Seuss.
He said,
Because when you stop and look around,
This life is pretty amazing.
And now a thought to ponder.
Wise words indeed.
Stopping to notice how amazing life is can have big payoffs and enhance our health,
Satisfaction and well-being.
Yet,
Taking in the good may not come naturally and be something we need to train ourselves to do.
So,
Here's a little experiment.
Choose an activity you do on a regular basis at least three or four times a day.
Use it as a reminder to look around and appreciate what it is you see.
For instance,
It may be each time you take a drink of water,
Answer the phone,
Make something to eat or even flush the toilet.
Then,
Stop for a few moments and do what children do.
Look and marvel at what's in front of you.
What a joyful thing to do.
Give it a try for a week or two and see what you discover.
Who knows?
You may see something you've never seen before.
