Welcoming yourself into this space A space where you can feel held and connected Take a moment to bring yourself into a comfortable position Notice where your body touches the chair,

The floor Whatever is holding you Whatever is connecting you in this moment to the earth Bringing your awareness to your physical self Observing any physical sensations in your body Allowing your focus to be directed to the physical sensations you can feel The temperature of your body The temperature of the air on your skin Observing any places,

Any areas in your body That feel soft and relaxed Any areas that you're holding tension Just observing,

You don't need to change anything Observing your breath The inhale The exhale Allowing yourself to breathe naturally,

Softly Allowing yourself to cultivate a sense of quiet,

Of connection in this moment And as you observe your physical self,

Your breath Just gently allow your mind to become quiet If thoughts come into your head,

You can observe them without judgement And then just let them flow Out of your mind Without any need to fight your thoughts You can let them come and go Focusing on your body,

On your breath And now I'd like you to imagine a soft light above your head This light is filled with self-compassion,

With love Perhaps this light is small,

Perhaps it's big However it looks to you,

Just focus your mind on this light And imagine it softly,

Slowly,

Gradually expanding And as it expands,

It spreads Spreads around your whole body And you feel as this light fills you up A calm sense of well-being Of connection to this present moment This light feels warm Gentle And this is a light that you have cultivated in your mind This self-compassion,

This love is something that you have cultivated And this is a feeling you can come back to again and again Just by allowing yourself to slow down To pause To connect And so now,

As this light,

As this love,

As this self-compassion surrounds you You feel totally at peace This is a gift that you have given yourself This moment to pause and to allow yourself to be filled with love You've allowed what may have started as a small soft light You've allowed this to grow You've allowed this to fill you up This is the gift you have given yourself today And you can bring this gift into the rest of your day This love,

This self-compassion This moment of stillness And for that,

You can be grateful
