Hello,
Dream travelers.
And welcome to the Story Nexus.
You'll be falling asleep.
To the soft,
Hypnotic sound of rain.
You'll be carried away to that place of deep relaxation and rest.
Where you can completely let go.
So that you can rise in the morning.
Feeling fully refreshed.
Now let's begin.
You're laying there,
All tucked into your bed.
Warm and comfortable.
Safe and dry.
You've made it through another busy day.
And now.
You can let the night carry you into rest and relaxation.
You don't need to hold on to anything.
You don't need to hold anything together anymore.
Not your thoughts.
Not your feelings.
Not your body.
Not even your attention.
Everything can soften now.
Everything.
I want you to imagine.
Let the darkness surround you.
Is warm.
Not empty.
Not cold.
But gentle.
Like soft velvet wrapped around your mind.
This.
Is a safe darkness.
This.
Is a quiet darkness.
The kind of darkness that asks nothing from you at all.
And with every breath.
You can feel yourself becoming a little heavier.
A little slower.
A little quieter inside.
Just like that.
There's nowhere else to be.
There's nothing left to solve tonight.
The world can wait outside this room.
Outside this moment.
Far away now.
And your only responsibility.
Is to allow your mind to drift.
That's all.
Just drift.
Now notice your breathing.
Just notice.
Without trying to change it.
Allowing the air to enter your lungs and naturally let go.
The slow rise of your chest.
And the fall.
The rise.
And the fall.
Like dark ocean waves moving beneath moonlight.
Slow.
Steady.
Endless.
And perhaps.
Without any effort.
Your breathing has already begun to slow down on its own.
A little deeper now.
A little softer.
Because your body understands.
Even when your mind forgets.
That you.
Are allowed.
To rest.
Are allowed to disappear into sleep.
That tension behind your eyes can melt now.
The muscles around your jaw are softening.
Your tongue settles wider in your mouth.
Your shoulders sink lower.
And lower.
As every burden is removed from you.
One by one.
Good.
Very good.
Now imagine.
A long hallway.
Lit only by candles lining the wall.
Quiet golden flames flicker softly in the dark.
The air is warm with a faint smell of lavender and cedar.
It feels completely still in this hallway.
And sacred somehow.
And at the end of the hall is a room prepared just for you.
This is a room untouched by stress.
Untouched by noise.
Untouched by expectation.
And as you walk toward it,
Slowly.
Sleep begins walking toward you,
Too.
Each step is heavier.
Each breath is deeper.
Each thought softer around the edges.
Until even thinking feels unnecessary.
You don't need your thoughts anymore tonight.
They can dissolve now.
Just like smoke disappears into a sky of darkness.
And perhaps you start to notice.
That your mind no longer wishes to work so very hard.
Your eyes don't either.
And neither does your heart.
Everything inside you is beginning to understand.
That there is nothing left to manage today.
There is nothing left to carry.
Not being loved.
To protect yourself from.
There is only rest now.
There is only sleep slowly wrapping itself around you.
Good.
That's it.
You're drifting beautifully now.
Now you are at the end of the hallway,
And the candlelit room opens before you.
Inside.
Everything is dim and warm.
Black silk curtains hang over the window.
Soft shadows bounce off the walls.
The sound of rainfall just outside.
A fire glows quietly in the hearth.
It's safe.
It's still.
It's silence.
The room seems to breathe with you.
Slowly.
In.
And out.
In.
And out.
And there in the center of the room.
It's a bet.
Softer and more comfortable than anything you've ever known.
Layers of velvety darkness descend as you climb between the cool,
Clean sheets.
Heavy blankets.
A place meant only for deep rest.
Deep surrender.
Sleep.
And as you settle into it,
You may notice something rather strange.
Bed seems to hold not only your body,
But your thoughts as well.
As though every anxious thought every unfinished feeling.
Every worry.
Is slowly sinking.
Downward.
Through the mattress.
Disappearing beneath you.
And floating far.
Far away.
Where it cannot reach you anymore.
You don't need to think tonight.
You really don't.
The night is thinking for you now.
It's holding everything for you.
Protecting you from effort.
The more you listen.
The less you need to listen.
The more you drift.
The less you need to try to drift.
Because sleep is already finding you.
Slowly naturally.
With certainty.
Like tidewater rising around your mind.
Like warm darkness pulling you deeper.
And deeper.
And deeper still.
Now imagine the rain outside becoming softer.
And more distant.
As though the whole world is moving farther away from you.
Further.
And further.
Until only this voice remains.
And even this voice is becoming softer now.
Flower.
Slower.
More distant.
You are safe enough to let go completely.
Safe enough to stop monitoring everything.
Safe enough.
To disappear into dreams.
And perhaps somewhere deep inside.
You can already feel sleep.
Waiting for you.
Patience.
Certainty.
Not forcing you.
Simply inviting you.
And again.
Your body is growing heavier now.
Comfortably heavy.
Your arms resting deeply.
Your legs completely loose.
You're breathing slow and effortless.
Even your thoughts feel heavy now.
Too heavy to continue forming clearly.
That's good.
Let them blur.
Let them drift apart.
There's no need to hold on to anything anymore.
You may begin noticing.
Little spaces between thoughts now.
Quiet spaces.
Dark,
Soft spaces.
And every time another quiet space appears.
Moves a little closer.
A little deeper.
A little warmer.
Nothing to solve.
Nothing to remember.
Nothing to prepare for.
Only this moment.
Only rest.
Only Drifty.
And if thoughts return.
That's alright.
The night can take those too.
Let them float past like dark clouds crossing past the moon.
Unimportant.
Temporary.
Already fading.
You do not need to follow them.
You can remain here instead.
Safe.
Beneath the weight of sleep.
Now,
Deeper still.
Deeper than before.
Because every sound around you.
Every breath.
Every pause.
Every word.
Is guiding you downward.
Like descending slowly.
Beneath warm,
Black water.
Floating.
Weightless.
Completely head.
Nothing can disturb you here.
Nothing can reach you here.
Only Calm.
Only darkness.
Only sleep.
And soon.
You may not even notice the spaces between my words anymore.
Only the feeling they leave behind.
Happy.
Warm.
Soothing.
.
.
Slow.
Dream life.
Slower now.
Sleep here now.
Trusting.
Float in.
Sinking Resting.
Sleep in.
The room grows darker.
The rain grows quieter.
Even this voice.
Begins fading into the distance now.
Further away with every breath.
And your mind.
Can finally stop.
Holding itself.
Hawaii.
You can let go now.
Completely.
And while you sleep tonight.
Your body can restore itself naturally.
Your thoughts can untangle softly.
Your nervous system can finally rest.
Everything inside you.
Is remembering how to become still again.
No resistance.
Happy.
Beautiful sleep.
Good night,
Dream traveler.
Rest now.
And keep drifting.
And deeper.
Let it be so.
