Poem For Healing

Spend a moment reflecting on where you came from & how your life experiences have impacted you now. The pain inflicted upon you was not your fault - yet, ironically, healing is your responsibility. & what a gift it is to choose to do better by others than was done unto you.

I was born with a brain that was wired for connection. The trauma I endured wired my brain for protection. Now I am unlearning the tendencies and patterns that kept me alive but no longer serve me. Even though the pain inflicted upon me was not my fault, I take responsibility for this life. I am living and choose healing. I am healing so I can live in alignment with the person I was meant to be before the world changed me.
