Welcome to Meditation for Overthinkers Part 3.
These meditations are designed to help women
who tend to get stuck in their heads slowly move back into their bodies and feeling comfortable,
Safe,
And powerful from a place of intuition,
A place of their deep knowing,
And a place
of being able to clearly hear and follow their authentic impulses.
Today we practice creating safety around ourselves and our hearts as we listen to the
untapped knowings and the trapped feelings inside our bodies.
Today we continue practicing
listening to the energy in motion throughout our bodies.
Emotions should be thought of as
energy in motion.
This is energy that is trying to move through our bodies,
Changing our bodies
so that they can adapt to our reality,
Come up with new ways to problem solve,
Come up with
new ways to move through the world,
And learn new ways of responding,
Reacting,
And being.
Take a few moments now to make yourself feel comfortable.
If you're lying down or sitting,
You may want to spread your cheeks,
Put your feet flat on the ground,
Straighten your back,
Just make sure that your body is feeling relaxed and comfortable.
Anywhere that feels tense,
Practice what we've learned so far by breathing into that tension,
Trying to expand it,
Really feeling into it,
And then relax,
Release,
And exhale,
Allowing the tension to flow out of your body and out of the place that may be holding onto it.
As you get comfortable,
Close your eyes if you feel safe to do so,
And listen only to the
breathing sounds of your body,
The heart pumping away with the pulse of the universe.
Feeling your breath expand your body as you inhale,
And deflate your body as you exhale.
Everything is sound,
Nothing is noise.
Everything that is waiting for you will wait,
These are your moments to come back to yourself,
To pay attention to your body,
Your needs,
Your desires,
Your feelings.
Breathing deeply,
Remember when you exhale to exhale even the very last puff,
So you can do a proper big inhale.
When we breathe deeply into our bodies,
We give them the message that we are safe,
And when you fool your body into believing that you are safe,
Your body will tell your mind that you are safe.
Practicing deep breathing can be a simple
and powerful way to come back to safety,
Which is where we learn best,
And to be safe.
Learn best,
And change and grow best.
Now,
Moving your hands together,
Touch your hands,
Allow them to feel the sensation
of deep touch,
Squeeze like a massage,
Stroke like a light tickling if you like that.
Pay attention to how your hands feel,
And just feel free to wiggle your fingers,
Do whatever it takes to just make your hands feel a little bit more alive.
Breathing energy into your hands,
Allowing this breath to arrive from source,
To arrive from a place of love and deep understanding and compassion.
The breath is used as a vehicle for energy,
Awareness,
And intention.
So,
Imbuing our hands with this energy and intention of love and self-compassion
allows our hands to then help imbue the rest of our body with those same things.
Placing your awakened hands on your heart,
Take a few deep breaths into your heart space,
Allowing it to expand into your hands as you inhale,
And deflate under your hands as you exhale.
Breathing this energy of compassion,
Of self-love,
And of forgiveness into your heart space.
Visualize creating a golden egg around your heart,
A soft pulsing glow that is filled with love
from the universe.
The universe loves us even when we don't remember how to love ourselves.
Our mother earth loves and nourishes us even when we have forgotten how to do it for ourselves.
This golden egg around our hearts,
Or if you prefer a sphere,
Or if you prefer a different
shape,
Listen to your body.
Do what makes you feel excited,
What makes you feel safe,
And what makes you feel alive.
For me,
This is more of a golden egg or sphere,
But for you it can be anything at all.
When we inhale,
We imagine this golden light of love,
Understanding,
And compassion pulsing through the thread that attaches our head to everything.
And this light pulses into the golden egg around our hearts,
Which glows and grows with the light.
Our hearts and their power to alchemize belong to us.
Our hearts are safe inside our bodies.
Nothing can penetrate into the walls of our heart without our approval and consent.
This golden egg
reminds us that we are safe and secure within the boundaries of our own aura,
Our own body.
Our own energy field.
With each inhale expanding this golden sphere,
And with each exhale allowing
it to relax and solidify around our hearts,
Getting larger,
Perhaps your golden sphere is already
around your entire body.
You can keep it as close to your heart as you feel safe doing so,
Or as far
away as you feel safe doing so.
Learning to expand your aura will help you take up space in the world.
Breathing in this love and compassion for all of our thoughts,
For all of our feelings,
And for
all of our experiences.
Breathing out,
Relaxing into the gravity that holds us close to our mother
earth.
She will never ever let go.
This hold is unconditional and available for us always.
This grounding and this awareness of this deep connection is available to us always.
I'm bringing your attention back to your body in this present moment,
Feeling the seat under your bum,
Feeling the ground beneath your feet,
Allowing this love to sit with you through the day,
Allowing yourself to feel loved no matter
how you react and respond to the events of the day.
One more deep inhale and exhale.
And you can open your eyes when you feel ready.
I hope this has been rejuvenating and I hope that it has filled your cup with self-love,
Compassion,
And forgiveness.
