Hello and good morning.
My name is Tariro Mundawarara and I'm a teacher here on Insight Timer.
And what I try and do here on InsideTimer is to help you connect.
To help you connect to self.
To understand the different parts that make us up.
And ultimately.
.
.
Establish a relationship with yourself.
You become your best friend.
Practice this morning is about gratitude.
I love mornings.
But that's for another video.
Without further ado,
Let's begin.
And we'll begin this practice by simply allowing ourselves to slow down.
And we do that by.
.
.
Simply saying to our brain.
Slow down.
And feel that sit.
So let's start Some mornings are Some mornings are really hard.
And on those mornings.
Being told to be grateful.
Can feel like an insult.
Like the person has no clue about you,
About what is going on.
Not how hard it is.
So I just want to start this practice by saying,
I hear you.
I see that it's heavy.
And I'm not going to ask you to pretend.
That it's not.
What I will ask is something.
Smaller.
I'm going to ask you to find just one small thing.
Something really unglamorous.
Something that is still solid.
Still here,
Still holding.
Whatever it is,
Bring that to mind right now.
Could be.
She lost her keys.
Could be.
Comment somebody said in passing the other day.
Just bring it to the space now.
Let's begin.
And we'll begin by simply closing your eyes.
Take a deep,
Slow breath in.
And hold.
And let it out.
Long.
Releasing Let your body get heavy.
Don't fight the wait,
Allow the wait.
Allow the way to be real.
And now in the middle of that weight.
Feel the surface that sits beneath you.
Chair,
The bed,
The floor,
Whatever is holding you up right now.
Feel it.
Allow it.
Feel it holding you.
Feeling it holding you even now,
Even today,
Even on this day.
I feel it holding you even on this every day.
I truly feel that support.
Think of someone.
Think of that person who would answer if he called.
The person doesn't have to be perfect.
They don't have to.
Have the answers,
They don't have to have the right words,
They don't have to.
Know what to do.
Say.
Just you know that when you call.
Evoluzione.
That's all.
Think of that person,
Bring their face into your mind now.
Whoever it is,
Wherever they are.
And that in itself is something.
On a heavy day.
On a heavy day.
Knowing is actually everything.
Now think of a moment from any time in your life when you felt okay.
Could have been filmed this week,
Earlier on today,
Last month,
Last year.
Think when you felt okay,
Even briefly.
Even if that feeling okay was imperfect,
Just.
.
.
Feel what that felt.
And connect right now to where that feeling sits.
If it sits in your gut,
In your hips,
Your chest,
Your throat.
Moment happen.
That moment it was real.
And because it happened once.
And I want you to really hear this part because it happened once.
Know that it can happen again.
Allow that energy of knowing,
Allow that energy to come in.
Even like if it is.
Light seeping underneath the door as the morning rises.
Just allow that.
Feeling of energy to come in.
And knowing that I'll be okay.
And now let's take a breath.
A long deep breath in through the nose.
And a full exhale.
Into the nose.
And on this exhale,
Sigh it out.
Into the nose.
And this time side out long.
Gratitude.
These heavy days is not about rising above the weight.
By finding what is still solid.
The breath.
It's that person who would answer your call.
That moment.
Was okay.
Those things are real.
Those things are yours.
Those things are enough.
So one final breath in.
And out.
And know that you don't have to feel bitter.
You just have to feel held.
And you are.
When you're ready.
Open your eyes.
And take in one moment at a time today.
That's enough.
