Find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
Allowing yourself to settle into the present moment.
With every exhale,
Gently let go of any tension or distractions and bring your awareness inward.
As you focus on your breath,
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest and abdomen as you inhale and exhale.
Let the rhythm of your breath be a reminder to take the necessary pause in your day.
As you begin attuning to your breath and bringing all your attention to the gentle ebb and flow,
The rise and fall of your belly and your chest,
Notice how something within you begins to settle and soften.
With each breath,
You create space for everything that is,
Allowing yourself to be just as you are in this moment.
Thoughts may arise,
Thoughts may drift away into a whisper.
Simply accept all that arises without resistance or struggle.
Embracing this human experience of being where you are and what you are feeling,
Musing,
Sensing in this moment.
There is no rush,
No need to hurry.
Nature unfolds and transitions in divine time.
You too are part of nature.
Embrace your troughs and peaks,
Being fully present to all that is already here.
Acknowledge that you may forget this often and return to chasing your thoughts or concerns.
That is the journey of being human and it is all okay.
It's part of the experience.
Take this moment to breathe.
Feel into your being.
Experience this moment with all that it brings and simply be with it.
Allow yourself to walk into this experience without any expectation for that is when we feel the calm and the peace that comes with this mindful presence.
Give yourself the permission to simply rest in this space knowing that each breath,
Each moment alone with yourself is a step to a deeper understanding and connection with your true inner self.
Stay in this state for as long as you wish,
Enjoying the sense of peace and acceptance.
When you are ready,
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your surroundings and find your body resting in space and time.
Awareness creates the windows to mindfulness and when we practice a few moments of this kind of tender attentiveness,
We can carry this sense of presence with us as we go about our day knowing that at any moment you can stop and breathe and choose to mindfully walk into the essence of life.
