Hello,

My name is Summer and thank you for joining me today for this guided meditation on receiving a gift.

Find a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down.

Allow your body to settle and your breath to become slow and natural.

We're going to start with a few relaxing breath techniques.

We're going to breathe in to the count of four and breathe out to the count of six.

We're going to do this three times.

So we're going to breathe in two,

Three,

Four,

And breathe out two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Breathe in and breathe out.

One more time.

Breathe in and breathe out.

With each breath that you take and with each word that is uttered,

Perhaps you can feel your body relaxing more and more.

With each inhale,

Invite peace and calm into your body.

And with each exhale,

Release tension,

Worry,

Or distraction.

Imagine yourself standing underneath the waterfall of relaxation.

Just feeling that relaxing,

Comfortable feeling flow all the way down your body.

Starting from the top of your head,

All the way down to the tips of your toes.

Soothing,

Calming,

Relaxation,

Easing away the tension and the stress.

Making you feel good,

Making you feel comfortable,

And making you feel more and more relaxed.

It's a wonderful feeling to be so relaxed and quite perfect to be here right now enjoying this calming,

Soothing experience.

Let's focus your attention on your feet and your toes.

There's a relaxing energy moving into the soles of your feet.

And that energy is relaxing all the muscles in your feet and your toes.

Feeling the muscles relax now.

That energy is going to move up into your calves.

And as it moves,

Both of your calves relax and let go,

Releasing the tension.

It moves into your knees and up to your thighs,

Causing them to simply just let go and be relaxed.

Now this relaxing energy moves into your hips,

Into your root chakra.

The muscles there also unwind and become relaxed.

It flows into your abdomen and your lower back and your waist,

Releasing and letting go the tensions and the stress that's being held there.

The muscles are being bathed in relaxing energy,

Which causes them to relax,

Letting go.

If your mind is beginning to wander now,

Then that's okay.

It means you're relaxing and freeing yourself and feeling dreamy.

It's perfectly natural.

With each breath that you take,

You feel yourself relaxing more and more.

And now that energy is flowing up into your chest and your upper back,

Causing the muscles to relax and let go.

The energy moves into your shoulders now and the muscles relax.

You can feel your shoulders sinking down as it is releasing the stress and letting go of the tension,

Which has settled there.

Becoming more and more relaxed and stress-free.

Now the energy moves into your arms,

Your hands and your fingers,

Relaxing all of those muscles.

You may feel a tingling sensation in your fingertips as the energy moves through them and releases.

That relaxing energy is now moving into the neck.

And if you're holding any tension there,

It just simply dissipates,

Allowing the neck muscles to become relaxed and free.

Energy moving into your head,

Causing the muscles in your scalp and around your ears to unwind.

A tingling sensation may be felt at your crown chakra at the top of your head.

This is normal and allow it to be relaxing for you.

Your entire body is now totally relaxed and your body feels as if it is floating,

Weightless and free.

Enjoy this relaxation for the next few moments.

Picture yourself standing before a beautiful pathway.

It may be a garden path,

A forest trail,

A sandy beach or any place that feels sacred to you.

As you start moving along this path with each step,

You are lighter,

More peaceful and more open.

As you approach the end of the path,

You come to a radiant space filled with unconditional love and warmth.

You know you are safe here and you are welcome.

Here you sense the presence of someone dear,

A spirit guide,

A loved one who has passed.

An angelic angel before you.

Take a moment to notice how they appear to you.

It may be clear and subtle.

It could be a vision,

A feeling or a sense of knowing.

You may just feel beautiful radiant colors swirling around you.

Whatever it is,

Trust what is arise and be with it.

Whatever shows up for you is greeting you with warmth and unconditional love.

You feel safe,

Supported and deeply connected.

Your guide or loved one has something to share with you.

It may be a gift,

A symbol,

A heartfelt message meant just for you.

Open your heart and receive it fully.

Letting the meaning of this gift gently unfold within you.

Take a deep breath and feel gratitude for this connection.

Know that this space is always with you.

You can return here whenever you wish to connect,

To receive comfort or guidance.

Take a moment to express your gratitude and give thanks to the experience,

The message and the gift.

Knowing that what transpired in these moments are real and meaningful.

Now bring your awareness back to your breath.

In a moment I'm going to count the numbers from 0 to 5.

And at the count of 5,

You will be wide awake,

Feeling really wonderful,

Invigorated and bringing with you your gift or a message that you received.

Zero.

You feel your body resting where you are.

One.

Become aware of your physical surroundings and the space that you are in.

Two.

Begin to feel your body and being back into your physical existence.

Three.

Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Four.

Your eyelids begin to flutter and open.

Five.

Your eyes are open.

You're wide awake.

Mind and body returning to normal.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Carrying with you the peace,

Love and the gift that you've received.
