Welcome to this guided meditation,

Releasing the identity of the fixer and the doer and softening into being.

Begin by finding a comfortable position.

You may be seated or lying down,

Allowing your body to be fully supported.

Let your eyes softly close.

Take a slow inhale through the nose and a long,

Easy exhale through the mouth.

Again,

A slow inhale in and a long,

Easy exhale out.

Allow your breath to begin settling into its own natural rhythm,

Nothing to force,

Nothing to change,

Just noticing.

Bring your awareness to your body.

Notice where your body is touching the surface beneath you.

Notice the points of contact,

The places where you are being held.

You are being supported and kept.

Allow yourself to relax deeper into the space beneath you.

No need to hold yourself.

You are supported.

Now gently place one hand on your heart and one hand on your lower belly.

Let the warmth of your hands meet your body.

Let your awareness meet your body.

Feel into your heart space,

The center of your chest.

This is your space of compassion,

Connection,

Gentleness.

No fixing required,

No proving,

No effort,

Just presence.

Now bring your awareness to your lower belly,

Your emotional body,

Your receiving center,

Your place of softness and flow.

This is where life moves through you.

This is where you feel.

This is where you receive.

With each inhale,

Imagine a soft,

Warm light moving into your heart and lower belly.

And with each exhale,

Imagine any tension,

Bracing or gripping,

Slowly melting away.

No need to push anything,

Simply allow.

Silently or softly repeat,

I release the role of holding everything together.

I allow myself to be supported.

I am safe to soften.

Again,

I release the role of holding everything together.

I allow myself to be supported.

I am safe to soften.

Now imagine the version of you who learned to be the fixer,

The one who learned to anticipate,

The one who learned to manage,

The one who learned to carry more than their share.

Simply sense this version of you,

Notice what arises.

Gently in your awareness,

Offer this version of you a message.

Thank you for protecting me.

Thank you for helping me survive.

Thank you for doing your very best.

Now let yourself say,

I don't have to work so hard anymore.

I don't have to hold everything together.

I am allowed to rest.

I am allowed to receive.

I am allowed to exist.

My existence is enough.

Now notice how your body responds.

There's no right or wrong way to the response,

Just noticing.

Now imagine a gentle wave of softness moving through your body,

Through your shoulders,

Through your jaw,

Your belly,

Your hips,

Anywhere you tend to hold control.

Allow these places to soften.

A small gentle softening is enough.

Bring your attention back to your breath.

Inhale,

Receiving.

Exhale,

Releasing.

Nothing else required.

Receiving,

Releasing.

Receiving,

Releasing.

Let yourself rest here.

Not becoming,

Not fixing,

Not improving,

Simply being.

If a thought arises,

Let it drift by like a cloud.

Return to the sensation of your hands.

Return to the sensation of being held.

Silently repeat,

I do not have to earn my right to exist.

I deserve to exist.

I am worthy of being here.

Now,

Imagine your life gently reorganizing itself,

Not through effort,

Not through control,

But through alignment.

Imagine yourself moving through your body,

Through your shoulders,

Through your belly,

A little more space,

A little more breath,

A little more trust.

Just sense the feeling.

Begin to slowly deepen your breath.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Gently bring awareness back into the room.

And when it feels right,

Open your eyes.

Carry the softness with you.

I don't have to hold everything together.

I am allowed to be held.

I am allowed to experience myself.
