Welcome to floating back to sleep,
Drifting among the stars.
This meditation has been created to help you settle into deep rest,
Allowing your body to soften,
Your mind to become quiet.
And sleep to return in its own natural time.
As the meditation continues,
My voice will gradually fade.
Leaving the gentle music to surround you in comfort.
And cradle your rest as sleep finds you.
If you've awakened during the night,
There is nothing wrong and nothing you need to fix.
Waking during the night is a natural part of being human.
You don't need to figure out why you're awake.
How long you've been resting,
Or when sleep might return.
There is nothing to accomplish in this moment.
No need to make yourself sleepy.
No need to concentrate.
And no need to follow every word.
You can simply listen.
Allowing whatever feels comforting to settle gently into your awareness.
And letting everything else drift away.
Sleep doesn't need to be something you work toward.
For now,
You are simply resting.
And rest is enough.
So let's begin,
Simply allowing yourself to sink into the comfort of this moment.
Allow yourself to remain in whatever position feels most comfortable.
There is no special posture to maintain.
No particular way your body needs to be arranged.
Your bed is already here,
Supporting you Your pillow is beneath your head.
Your blankets resting around you.
The mattress holding the natural weight of your body Nothing needs to change.
You can settle exactly as you are.
And if your body needs to move or adjust at any point,
It can do so naturally.
Without interrupting your rest.
There is nowhere else you need to be tonight.
Nothing waiting for you in this moment.
The day has already happened.
And tomorrow has not yet arrived.
Whatever remains unfinished can wait.
Whatever questions are still unanswered can remain unanswered.
Whatever thoughts have followed you into the night can begin to settle.
There is no need to carry them any further right now.
Allow the hours ahead to unfold without your attention.
You don't need to keep track of time.
You don't need to check whether you're falling asleep.
You can simply rest here.
Supported by the bed beneath you.
Surrounded by the quiet of the night.
Begin to notice your breath.
Your natural breath.
There is no need to change it in any way.
No need to breathe more deeply or to make the breath slower.
Simply notice the gentle rhythm of breathing in.
And breathing now.
The quiet movement of the chest.
That soft rise and fall of the belly.
Your body already knows how to breathe.
And you can allow the breath to continue naturally.
Without your control or effort.
Breathing in.
Breathing now.
As you breathe in,
Feel the gentle movement of air entering your body.
And as you breathe out.
Allow the body to soften.
Breathing in.
Naturally.
Breathing out.
Releasing.
There is nothing you need to do.
Nothing you need to count.
Each breath arrives.
And each breath leaves.
And it's on time.
With every exhale,
The body can melt a little more deeply into the mattress.
The shoulders becoming softer.
The back releasing.
The belly relaxing.
The weight of the day slowly loosening its hold.
Nothing needs to be pushed away.
Nothing needs to be forced.
The breath continues gently and quietly.
While the body begins to settle.
Heavy and relaxed.
Now bring your awareness to the feeling of your body resting against the mattress.
The gentle pressure of the pillow beneath your head.
The places where your shoulders meet the bed.
The weight of your back.
Your hips,
Your legs.
Notice how the mattress rises to meet your body.
Supporting every place where you rest.
You don't have to hold yourself up You don't have to maintain your position The bed is doing the work for you.
Allow the weight of your body to settle a little deeper.
As though the mattress is becoming softer beneath you.
Gently receiving every part of you.
Your head resting comfortably against the pillow.
Let your shoulders sink you down.
Your back melting into the bed.
Your hips and legs becoming heavier and heavier.
With each exhale,
There is a little less to carry.
A little less to hold.
A little less to do.
Imagine a soft warm blanket resting gently over you.
It's comforting weight settles over your shoulders.
Across your chest and belly.
And down over your hips and legs.
Surrounding you in warmth and quiet comfort.
Beneath the blanket,
Your body becomes still.
The muscles soften.
The weight of the day begins to fade.
You are held between the softness of the blanket above.
And the steady support of the mattress below.
Nothing needs your attention.
Nothing requires your effort.
You can rest completely.
The body becoming heavy.
Very heavy.
There is nothing you need to do to make this happen.
Gravity is already here.
Support is already here.
You can simply allow yourself to be held.
And now,
As your body continues settling into the mattress,
Allow your awareness to move gently through the body.
No effort.
No fixing.
Just noticing and allowing.
Bring your attention to the forehead.
Feel the skin across your forehead becoming smooth and quiet.
Space between your eyebrows softening.
Heavy and relaxed.
Your eyelids resting gently closed with no need to look at anything.
Eyes resting heavy in their sockets.
The tiny muscles around your eyes becoming still.
Your cheeks relaxing.
Your jaw resting easily.
Upper and lower teeth slightly apart.
Your tongue softening inside your mouth.
The whole face becoming quiet.
Nothing to express.
Nothing to respond to.
Just resting.
Now bring your awareness to the neck and shoulders.
Muscles around your neck can soften.
Your shoulders no longer need to support anything all the small efforts of holding,
Reaching.
Carry.
And responding throughout the day can begin to release.
Your shoulders becoming heavy against the mattress.
Settling down.
Resting completely.
Allow your awareness to travel down through both arms.
The upper arms becoming heavy.
The elbows soft.
Forearms resting comfortably,
Your wrists relaxed.
The palms of your hands.
The backs of your hands.
Each individual finger.
Nothing you need to hold.
Nothing you need to reach for Your hands can simply rest.
Feel the weight of both arms.
Completely supported.
Bring your awareness to the chest.
Feel the natural movement of the breath.
Gentle and on hurry.
The muscles around your ribs becoming softer.
Your chest resting comfortably.
The belly relax.
Nothing to hold in.
Nothing to tighten.
The whole front of the body becoming quiet.
Allow your awareness to settle into the back of your body.
The space between your shoulder blades.
The middle of your back.
Lower back.
Feel the mattress supporting you from beneath.
The muscles along either side of your spine can soften.
Releasing any effort that is no longer needed.
Your back becoming heavier.
Settling a little deeper melting into the comfortable surface beneath you.
The mattress gently receiving your weight.
Bring your awareness to the hips.
Feel their natural weight against the mattress.
Allowing the muscles around your hips to soften.
The pelvis becoming heavy.
Your upper legs resting comfortably.
Backs of your thighs supported.
Your knees relaxed.
Your calves resting.
Your ankles loose.
Heel settling into the bed.
The soles of your feet.
The tops of your feet.
Each individual tone.
All the way down to the tips of your toes.
Whole lower body becoming heavy and relaxed.
Nothing needs to remain active.
Nothing needs to be held in place.
Your legs can become completely heavy.
As though their weight is slowly spreading into the mattress.
The muscles no longer working to support you.
The whole lower body sinking gently into rest.
Now feel the entire body.
From the top of your head.
All the way down to your toes.
The whole body resting.
Heavy.
Warm.
And deeply supported.
Your head resting against the pillow.
Your shoulders and back settling into the mattress.
Your arms and hands completely at ease.
Your hips,
Legs,
And feet resting comfortably.
Every part of you supported by the surface beneath you.
There is no need to hold your body together.
No need to keep yourself alert No need to maintain anything.
You Allow your whole body to become heavier.
Back of your head sinking gently into the pillow.
Your shoulders becoming heavy.
Your back melting into the bed.
Your hips settling down.
Your legs growing heavier and heavier.
The weight of your body spreading gently into the mattress.
As though the bed is holding you so completely that every muscle can finally rest.
You are surrounded by warmth.
Supported from beneath.
Comfortable and still.
Body can settle as deeply as it needs.
As the body grows heavier,
The mind can become quieter.
Nothing to solve.
Nothing to remember.
Nothing to prepare.
Only this feeling of being supported.
As you continue resting.
Notice how completely the mattress supports your body.
Every place where you meet the bed is hell.
Your head.
Your shoulders your back.
It's.
.
.
Legs.
There is no part of you that needs to work to remain here.
The weight of your body is resting entirely in the mattress.
And as you settle more deeply into that support.
The feeling of heaviness begins to change.
The places where your body meets the bed become softer.
The gentle pressure beneath you becomes less noticeable.
Your body is still resting comfortably.
But there is less awareness of its weight.
As though the mattress is holding you so completely that there is nothing left for you to hold.
The heaviness begins to soften.
Body feels quiet.
Comfortable.
Almost weightless.
Your arms no longer feel quite so heavy.
Let your legs rest without effort.
Your shoulders are free from holding.
Your whole body is surrounded by a gentle sense of ease.
There is no need to move.
No need to lift yourself No need to make anything happen.
You remain comfortably supported.
While the sensation of weight begins to fade.
Body becomes lighter and lighter.
Not because you are trying to rise.
But because there is no effort left to carry.
Boundaries between your bed and the body become less distinct.
Mattress continues to support you.
Even as the feeling of weight dissolves into comfort.
Almost as though you are floating.
Floating within the softness of your bed.
Held so gently that you no longer need to notice what is holding you.
There is nothing to balance.
Nothing to maintain.
Nothing to control.
Only the quiet sensation of floating.
Effortlessly supported.
Your breath continues to move naturally.
A soft breath in.
A gentle breath out.
The smallest movement of the body.
And then stoner.
Breathing in,
Floating.
Breathing out.
Settling a gentle rhythm.
So subtle that even the movement of the breath begins to fade into the background.
There is nothing you need to follow.
Nothing you need to count.
The body breathes.
A body rest.
And you continue floating.
Without effort.
As the feeling of weightlessness deepens.
The space around you begins to feel open and quiet.
The familiar comfort of your bed remains with you.
And within that comfort,
There is a sense of floating.
In a vast,
Peaceful space.
A night sky stretches endlessly around you.
Soft and velvety.
Washed in deep shades of blue and violet.
Colors blend gently into one another.
Like delicate ribbons of light slowly dissolving into the darkness.
Far above,
Countless tiny stars shimmer softly within the night sky.
Their light is gentle and steady.
Little points of warmth scattered throughout the quiet expanse.
There's nothing you need to focus on.
Nothing you need to follow.
Only this beautiful peaceful space.
Surrounding you as you float effortlessly.
You are floating beneath this endless sky.
Surrounded by stillness.
Held by a gentle and visible sense of support.
Completely at ease.
With nothing you need to do to remain here.
The soft colors continue to drift and blend.
Moving so slowly that their edges seem to disappear into one another.
Nothing bright.
Nothing hurry.
Just a gentle shimmer.
A quiet movement of color and light.
And the comforting sensation of being carried.
There is no need to move through the sky.
No need to travel toward the star.
No destination waiting ahead.
You are simply here.
Loading.
.
.
Resting.
Support it.
At ease.
Soft clouds drift slowly through the night.
Their wispy edges are smooth and gentle.
Barely visible in the quiet darkness.
They move without hurry.
Without effort.
Very naturally through the open sky.
And you continue floating among them.
As weightless as the clouds themselves.
Nothing to steer.
Nothing to guide.
Nothing to reach.
The movement is so gentle that it is almost impossible to notice.
A quiet drifting.
A feeling of being carried.
The stars remain scattered across the darkness.
Some closer together.
Others resting far apart.
Each one quietly holding its place in the night sky.
There is no need to study them.
No need to follow their patterns.
They can simply remain there.
Softly glowy.
While you rest.
And even the stars begin to fade from your attention.
The clouds become less distinct.
The night sky grows softer.
There's only the gentle feeling of floating.
Nothing more is needed.
Your body is resting comfortably in bed.
Your breath continues naturally.
Your awareness is becoming quiet.
And somewhere within that quiet.
The feeling of floating remains.
Effortless.
There is no need to hold onto the image.
No need to remember where you are.
You can let the clouds drift away.
Let the stars become distant.
Let the whole night sky soften into darkness.
And simply remain with the feeling of being supported.
Thoughts can come and go without needing your attention.
There is no need to finish them.
No need to follow them.
No need to push them away.
They can become as distant as a star.
Present for a moment.
Then fading quietly into the background.
Nothing needs to be understood.
Nothing needs to be remembered.
The mind can rest.
The body is quiet.
The breath is easy.
The night is still.
You are floating.
Supported by something soft and steady.
No effort.
No direction.
No destination.
Only rest.
And as the quiet deepens.
There is less and less to notice.
Feeling of the bed.
The softness of the breath.
Gentle spaciousness around you.
Everything becoming simpler.
Softer.
Quieter.
There is no need to stay with my voice.
The words can begin to drift past you.
Without needing to follow them.
Your body already knows how to rest.
Sleep can return in its own time.
You are resting deeply now.
The body feels comfortable and supported.
The mind has nothing it needs to do.
The gentle feeling of floating continues.
Quietly.
Effortlessly.
As though you were being carried through the soft darkness of the night.
Nothing to hold.
Nothing to become.
Just floating.
The stars are distant now.
The clouds have softened into the darkness.
The feeling of weightlessness remains.
A quiet sense of ease.
A gentle drift in Nothing to follow.
Nothing to remember.
You I'll slowly begin to step away now.
Leaving the music to continue supporting your rest.
You can let the sound of my voice fade into the background.
There is no need to listen any longer.
No need to remain aware.
Your body is resting.
Your breath is easy.
Everything is quiet.
Loading.
.
.
Supportive.
Weightlifts.
At ease.
The night continues around you.
Your body remains comfortably held.
Sleep can find you here.
There is nothing more you need to do.
Nothing more you need to hear.
You can simply drift.
Softly.
.
.
Quietly.
Effortlessly.
Rest well.
You you
