Hello,
My name is Satine Starr,
And I welcome you today to this loving,
Kindness,
And compassion meditation for sweet metta energy.
Loving kindness meditation is an ancient practice of extending love and goodwill first to ourselves and then to others.
Before we begin,
I would like you to sit comfortably in that you're in a place where you will not be disturbed for the next 15 minutes.
Make sure that you are seated comfortably because comfort is key in this meditation.
When you're ready,
Let your eyes flutter closed,
Place one hand over your heart,
And let's begin.
First,
I want you to repeat these phrases with me so that we can really instill them into our practice.
I am happy.
I am healthy.
I am safe.
Now,
I want you to take just a moment to really feel these phrases for yourself.
You deserve happiness,
Health,
Safety,
And ease.
You deserve to have these things every day of your life,
And you deserve to fill your heart with kindness,
Love,
And compassion.
I want you to imagine you're filling your heart with bright,
Red,
Loving energy,
And it's feeling so wide,
So strong with this energy because you're placing it there.
As your heart is filling up with this strong,
Powerful,
Compassionate,
Loving energy,
I want you to take some deep breaths and imagine that this energy is just building.
I want you to bring to mind someone that you deeply care for,
Someone that you love quite easily.
I want you to imagine their face.
I want you to focus on the feeling of love that you have for them.
I want you to take this feeling and put it into your heart.
And as you do this,
We're going to direct these phrases towards them.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
Now,
I want you to imagine your heart has a thread connected to it,
And I want you to imagine you're connecting this thread to their heart.
And all that energy that you filled up in your heart earlier,
And all that love and compassion that you built earlier,
We're going to send some of that energy along the thread to that other someone's heart.
And I just want you to visualize that beautiful red light energy moving across that thread to that person.
Imagine you're sending them this loving,
Compassion,
And kindness.
Now,
I want you to think of someone neutral.
This person may be a neighbor,
A cashier,
Someone you see but you don't know very well.
And we're going to send them this meta-energy also.
And repeat after me.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
And may you live with ease.
Everyone deserves kindness,
Love,
And compassion.
Now,
I want you to take some deep breaths.
And as you do this,
Not forcing them,
Just passing the energy through yourself to that someone.
Being fully in the moment and letting your heart fully expand.
What you're doing is you're making the world a little bit kinder with your energy work.
You just accomplished sending energy to two people and making their day even brighter.
I want you to take your final breath.
Open your eyes and congratulate yourself because you're making a difference.
