Allow your breath to bring you into this space of relaxation.
Just focus on the breath,
No need to change it.
Just imagining that inhale,
Breathing in calm and comfort and relaxation.
And on the exhale,
Imagine letting go,
Letting go of any tightness or tension,
Any stress from earlier in the day or anything else that you need to do later on.
Setting that aside for a few moments,
Allowing your breath,
The beating of your heart,
And even the sound of my voice to bring you into this relaxation.
Because for this next little while,
No one needs anything from you.
For these next few moments,
No one has any expectations or demands to drift or float or sink or simply just be.
And if you haven't already,
I invite you to take yourself somewhere beautiful and peaceful in your mind's eye and really begin to use as many of your senses as possible to imagine that you're there right now.
Imagining perhaps the time of day it is based on the light,
Maybe noticing the temperature of the air against your skin,
Just perfect,
Not too hot or too cold,
Just right.
And I wonder what that would look or feel like for you if you could imagine a beautiful golden healing light shining down on the top of your head and as it touches the top of your head,
You can notice this beautiful wave of relaxation moving across your forehead and softening the space between your eyebrows and imagining,
Sensing,
Seeing,
Feeling that relaxation move over your entire face,
Allowing that relaxation to soften the base of your skull,
The back of your neck.
And whether you notice it as a color,
A sensation,
A light,
Maybe a gentle warmth or coolness,
You can notice how good that feels as that relaxation relaxes the sides of your neck and moves across the tops of your shoulders.
And as it makes its way down your arms,
Paying special attention to any areas that used to cause any pain or discomfort,
Allowing that light,
That color,
That warmth,
That coolness,
That healing golden light to move all the way into your fingertips.
And as it moves down the length of your spine,
Your upper back and chest,
Soften and relax.
So it's almost as if you're breathing in actual molecules of comfort,
Allowing that comfort and relaxation to move down and across your belly.
Letting go of any tightness or tension that might be trying to hold on.
As your pelvis relaxes your hips and thighs,
Paying special attention to those knees and calves,
And especially the ankles and feet.
Imagining how good that would feel as that healing golden light relaxes and comforts bathing your entire body and healing all the way from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.
Enjoying that relaxation,
Taking yourself to that beautiful safe space in your mind's eye,
A place of healing and comfort,
A space where nothing can harm or disturb you.
I don't know if that's a beautiful garden full of your favorite flowers,
Noticing the colors,
Imagining the scent in the air.
Maybe you find yourself on a beautiful beach,
Noticing the light,
Imagining perfect temperature against your skin in this place of healing,
Of calm and comfort.
Knowing you can return to this place whenever your nervous system needs that gentle reminder.
You can pause wherever you are,
Taking that nice deep belly breath in,
And exhaling,
Using the power of your creative imagination to bring yourself to that space of healing,
Of calm,
Of comfort,
In this space of rest,
Repair,
Digest,
This beautiful tapestry of comfort and healing.
And whenever you need that reminder,
Using the breath and the power of your imagination to take yourself back to this space and enjoying all the benefits of being here right now.
And in a moment,
I'll begin to count you back to this time and place.
And you can bring with you all of the relaxation and calming of your nervous system.
A reminder that you deserve to rest.
In a moment,
I'll begin to count from one to ten.
And at the count of ten,
You'll find yourself back in this time and place,
Here and now,
Bringing with you all the restoration,
Comfort,
And healing.
One,
Two,
Three,
Beginning to notice your body,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Becoming aware of your hands,
The bottom of your feet,
Seven,
And an eight,
Imagining at those feet a nice refreshing energy flowing all the way up,
Eight to nine to the top of your head,
At ten,
Taking a nice deep breath in,
Coming all the way back,
Feeling good.
